These are absolutely amazing, almost too amazing...the smell is incredibly strong. I am half way through my first stick and it's throughout my entire house. Patchouli is the greatest smell ever, in my opinion, and I am happy knowing one stick is all I need so the rest will last me. They are strong enough that you can keep the package by you, on a desk, or end table, and always have a subtle Patchouli aroma. These incense sticks are also very thick compared to store bought, they last, and put out tons of scent. I bought a single package to try based on the good reviews, and I will definitely be buying more when I can, these are so wonderful. The best part of Patchouli is after the sticks go out, you’re left with an amazing smell throughout your home that is so calming, i use it for my anxiety, it's a soothing, pleasant smell. This is how patchouli is supposed to smell, and how incense is supposed to burn. Great price, too. I’m very excited to have finally realized this brand! I’m about to browse for more. Wonder if they do Nag Champa? This is awesome. Whatever you do, please don’t mess with your formula. The brand I loved these scents in back in my younger years did that, and destroyed themselves. I will say this though: The name “Aroma Depot” gave me the wrong idea about you. I kept passing you up, because that name leads one to think of powdery, soapy, man-made/air freshener type scents instead of the wonderful earthy, natural, organic scents that you actually make. I had no clue. We say things like, “Don’t judge a book by its cover” but we do. Nowadays, while we’re mostly shopping online, which doesn’t allow us to use our senses for guidance, a name and/or the way a thing is marketed has become even more important. Just a thought. FINALLY!!! After having tried 5-10 different brands from Amazon and local stores, this is the patchouli I love. The others have either smelled like some kinda cross between nagchampa and sandlewood or just plain smoke.. If you love the real patchouli from the 70's, you'll love this brand. This review is for all of the various scents. I've tried many different brands of incense that are available on Amazon and this is, hands down, the best incense that I've purchased. The quantity of sticks received for the price is really unbelievable. The sticks burn slowly, something like 20-25 minutes. And all of the scents are exact and unique - they all smell as they should and the smell is precisely right. I use sage, patchouli, dragon's blood, frankincense and nag champa. I'm updating this. The sticks used to be a light-brown/tan-ish color with less of the generic incense smell. The batch I just received are like the cheap black incense sticks you get from overseas and do not smell as good. It's not as strong of a sage scent and it's more harsh on the nose. It's not awfully different but it's noticeable. Enough that I'll be looking for another supplier after this batch. They may be using the same oil, I don't know but whatever the sticks are made out of definitely affects the smell. I had one of the older kind left I burnt this morning so it's still fresh in my mind and just lit one of the new after noticing they looked different. Well, they're different alright. BELOW IS AN OLD REVIEW: While I had a few roughly (maybe 5 or 6?) that kept stop burning, almost all burnt great. They smell great although not 100% like pure sage but you can't expect that from a stick incense due to binders and alike. I literally burnt one of these every day for months while making my morning tea and used them in multiple rooms to freshen up the place. They didn't leave that "cheap incense smell" as I call it that some other sticks do. I'm running low. I'll be buying again. ... show more

I gave the sage stick a 5 star for the thickness, but it's noticeably thinner than the Vanilla and Patchouli that I have as well. What the sage sticks lack in thickness they definitely make up for in provide close to a 1 hour burn and amazingly calming scent. I've tried several different brands of incense sticks over the years that promise a long burn and pleasant scent that turn out to burn for maybe 20 minutes and just smell like burning wood. With Aroma Depot I have finally found my go to company for all my incense needs. And I can't forget, when they say 85 to 100 sticks in each package, they mean it!!! ... show more
