This is a well built, attractive power strip. The top, widely spaced outlets address and accommodate the multiple transformers that are the modern way of powering our accessories. The top outlets are smartly placed so the wire tails coming off the transformers do not interfere with neighboring outlets. Having additional outlets placed on the sides of the box proved to be very handy for non-transformer ac plugs. The USB outlets (4) are very convenient although I must say that a modern day power strip is not to be taken seriously if it did not have them. The square footprint breaks away from the typical foot long / 3" wide design but it works for my specific situation that I have right now. I would like to see them offer another model which addresses the foot long / 3" wide footprint; I am confident it would be the same high quality build and fit. I welcome the cloth braided cord which is easy to straighten out so it lays neatly against the wall behind furnishings. I detest using a vinyl power cord (haven't experienced plain rubber used in years) that has been wrapped up so tightly for shipping that it will not lay correctly on the floor. I mean, we buy extension cords and power strips to install our electronics in a neat manner, right? There is not a cord used in my house (TV, radio, lamp, Alexa, coffee pot, toaster, Bullet etc.) that is installed all curled up. I straighten each one before installing with a heat gun. I place as much of the coiled up cord in a large metal saucepan and use my heat gun to relax the cord and straighten it out (the metal pan contains the heat but prevents hot spots while warming the cord). I find if the product has gone through cost cutting via the bean counters of the manufacturer, the more likely the power cord suffers and ends up being cheap, stiff, vinyl. Here however the manufacturer realizes that the cord is an important element in the overall design and uses cloth covered braid. The internal wire insulation is of course some sort of vinyl / rubber blend to meet safety standards I am sure but it is flexible and can almost be entirely straightened out without warming. I have braided, cloth covered cords that are round and also flat as in this power strip. Either one works well but I prefer the round style which lays neater and coils better. This brings me to my one nit-pick. Even though my 5 star rating does not reveal it, I do not feel that my nit-pick should prevent someone from buying this otherwise well designed extension power strip. My nit-pic is about the power plug that goes into the wall outlet. It is the flat type (good) which hugs the wall enabling you to have that dresser tight up against the wall while avoiding any damage to the cord if a traditional “straight” plug was implemented. On this particular flat plug, the braided power cord comes down off the bottom of the plug at an angle and not straight down. It is angled to the right which is great if your extension box is to be placed to the right of the outlet but not so good if the box is placed to the left of the outlet. Having a flat type braided cord instead of a round braided cord, it presents a kink in the wire @ the plug location. It would be a welcomed improvement if the braided power cord came straight down from the plug and if they used a round versus flat braided cord. Hey! Not a big deal to most people but this is a review, right? So, there you have it. For most people, an extension cord is “just an extension cord – get over it”. But for those (like you reading this right now) are interested in knowing how a product is designed and performs, I hope I have described it to your satisfaction. ... show more

Very good quality extension cable, many ports on all sides. It also has an off switch to turn off every port without having to disconnect the cable from the wall. The USB ports also work well and can charge 1/2 smaller devices at the same time.

I now have 5 of these in various rooms. There are enough outlets in various orientations to accommodate a range of devices from normal plugs to power warts to USB devices. The master switch and flat mains plug are very nice features, too. You have to be sensible with what you plug in -- there are enough outlets on this to allow you to overload it, with all the negative consequences of that -- but it has good capacity, utility, and value all the way around. ... show more

This is a great and compact power strip. The USB ports so you don't kill 1/3 of the strip with clunky blocks is clutch. A major complaint I see (and I assume will be resolved on the next model) is that the mounting holes are too small to fit any standard screw head into. This is 100% true as I went through all of my leftover screws (we all have a box of leftover screws from various projects). I didn't want to mount with velcro or double sided tape because those eventually fail and beat the crap out of the walls. I found the solve is looking for "double headed picture hangers." You need to find something with a +/- 1/4" nail head as that is the diameter of the mounting hole. I bought "Hotop Double Headed Picture Hangers Nails Small Head Thumb Tacks Wall Hanging Picture Photo Hanging Hook Pins for Home Office Hanging Picture Photo Decorations (Black,25 Pieces)" They have a star on the head but they were the best ones I could find. They work much better than I expected. I went to every power strip in the house and mounted them after I saw how well they worked haha. Use both holes whether you are mounting vertically or horizontally if you want it to look clean. ... show more

CONS first: It is as described but I dont like the cord. It is very stiff but bendable and the way it actually plugs into the wall is cumbersome. Its a flat, round plug and keeps the cord very close to the wall. The cord is slanted at a 45 degree angle as opposed to traveling straight up or straight down from your wall outlet. The stiffness and angle of the cord make it hard to use for my purposes. The cord is also cloth wrapped and I am not sure how it will stay clean. I question its usefulness in travel. I think there are better choices out there for travel. I do not think it would pack well. You cannot wind the cord, but then again, maybe you shouldn't..? It can only be wall-mounted in the vertical orientation. PROS: The unit itself seems well made and has 8 plug ports and 4 USB ports. It's a sleek rectangle design with rounded corners and a matte white finish. It sits perfectly flat on the counter and seems sturdy. There is an on/off switch located near the cord. There is a small green LED to confirm it is powered and presumably protecting. It's weighty enough to make me feel that it is substantially made. It's easy to use. It is attractive. ... show more
