I bought this clock to hang on the house outside in the sun to be viewed from the pool. I realize it is not "weatherproof" but didn't want to spend more money so just wanted one that was rated to be outdoors. I hung it up and the first time the hands went around to the time of about 5:20 or so the hands stopped. The second hand was moving so I knew it was still working, but realized that the hour and minute hands got caught up on the dial for the temperature. The dial for the temperature was sticking out too far and there is no way to push it back because of the cover on the clock. I initiated an exchange and received a new one very quickly and this one is fine so far. Must have just been a defective clock, but all is good now.
