I got this treadmill as it becomes difficult in winters to go for walks and runs. I was looking for something portable which doesnt take too much space and helps me do quick runs when i get time. The Rockvale treadmill has been great. It is around 45 pounds and has wheels to easily move it around. I have been using it everyday for last 2 weeks. Some of the things i liked - Easy to setup and do a quick run for 15-20 minutes - Doesnt make lot of noise, and remote to handle the speed is great - Goes easily under the bed after the run, great for space ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I use this treadmill when I am walking and standing in front of my standing desk. As a graduate students, I have always find it hard to balance my research, teaching load, and exercise. With the treadmill, I can now finally balance my exercise and work and get 5 miles in easily with 1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening. Here are a few things I noticed, and hopefully could be helpful if you are debating trying it or not: Noise level It is more quiet then I expected, since I live in a shared apartment, my roommate can't hear me using the treadmill once I close the door. And my downstairs neighbor are not bothered neither. Concentration level during walking and working I know it differs across people regarding whether you can concentrate when walking, since I like to walk around when I am thinking this actually helps me personally to walk and work at the same time, and concentration isn't an issue for me at all. I initially started testing with only short term focused tasks like responding to emails, and then I also tried with reading papers and doing programming task, for me, it is not of a distraction for me at the speed of 1 mile/hour. You may need to get use to walking and using the mouse accurately initially. Storage It is not heavy and very easy to move with the front wheels. I lean it against the wall which uses very minimal space of my room. Overall, this has been a very pleasant experience for me and have been recommending to all of my lab-mates. ... show more

I like this walking pad and it was more affordable than the other ones I was comparing, i snagged it when it went on sale and i use it all the time. Pros: more affordable than other brands, seems sturdy, very light weight, easy to move around, remote control to change speeds, wide enough walking space to have a natural gait. Cons: very noisy, slippery side rails can be slick( i almost fell a few times not paying attention to where my feet were) Despite my 3 star rating i am happy with my purchase however I think this would be too loud to bring to work with my stand up desk and it will be staying home for my walks while i binge watch shows or listen to an audio book with the volume up. ... show more
