I recently purchased these for both myself and my wife, replacing our very old compressors that were double their size. They maintain a charge impressively long and have been excellent for quickly inflating tires. Compared to my last compressor, which was slow, these are a significant improvement. I even used one to jump-start a vehicle recently. Although I initially struggled to connect the jumper cables to the device due to alignment issues, once connected, it jump-started the vehicle effortlessly. I'm hoping the next time I use the jumper cable attachment, it will be easier. The added features of a flashlight and USB-C charging port are great bonuses. I like the fact that the Unit came partially charged in the mail, as it took little time to fully charge. Wound up needing to jump start my car battery two days later as I forgot to turn the ignition off and it killed the battery. I’ve never forgotten to turn my ignition off ever. I was stranded at work with a dead battery. Everyone had left, the building was locked and it was 36 degrees outside. I called roadside service and he finally showed up an hour and twenty minutes later. The tech hooked up his VTOMAN jump starter and in less than 5 min (and half frozen), I was on the road to the local parts store. This grueling experience convinced me to buy this product. I purchased the VTOMAN X7 because it combines battery jumping capability with a very portable air compressor. My only disappointment is with the clamp on chuck that is attached to the compressor hose. The chuck would not work on several different tires that I tried. I explained this problem to the VTOMAN customer support and they did offer to refund $10 so I could purchase another hose. I accepted the offer and used the $10 to purchase a nice brass chuck that I was able to attach to the compressor hose (see pictures of the original chuck and the brass replacement). The compressor feature now works very well. Also, I would advise those purchasing the VTOMAN X7 or other "jump box" with short cables that you should NOT attach the negative cable clamp to the negative post on a battery. The very poorly written directions that came with the VTOMAN X7 advises to connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive battery post and negative (black) clamp to the negative post. This goes against all safety recommendations. The negative (black) clamp should be attached to an unpainted ground on the engine frame, structural frame, etc. at least a foot or so from the battery. If attached directly to the negative post on a typical battery, sparks will fly and battery gases could ignite resulting in an explosion. Any jump box manufacturer needs to make this very clear. ... show more
