So, this review is going to be about the VTOMAN V8 that I already have and have used comparing it to the new V12 I just got. The V8 can be used up to 8L gas or 6.0L diesel engine with 2000A peak while the V12 can be used up to 10.0L gas or 8.0 diesel engine with 3500A peak current. Both the V8 and V12 have a boost function. I would recommend getting any jump starter with a boost function because it can jump start a dead battery. So, why did I get the V12 when I already have a V8? I just love gadgets and the idea of also having a battery with an AC output port that can charge small appliances, like my laptop, just sounds great for me. The V12 comes with a soft black and yellow bag, a wall charger, USB-c cord, clamps, instructions, and was about 50% charged. It took about 2 hours to get fully charged via USB-c. I included pictures of the V8 on top of the V12 for size comparison and then included pics of my Dell laptop charger connected and it actually charging my laptop. Overall, I'm happy with the V8, I've had to use it twice already, once with boost and once without and I look forward to using the V12 in the future. ... show more

The customer service and responsiveness has been excellent. The device is solidly built and works fine. The AC outlet works well, and I’ve been using it to power a 25 W outdoor fountain, as well as my 60 W laptop. Initially, I didn't understand why the claimed "18,000 mAh" wasn't able to fully charge my macbook 3 times (as my macbook only has a 5,000 mAh battery), but customer service explained that the battery cells need to be connected in series—to achieve the greater power to jump a car. Therefore the backup battery is exhausted quicker than it is w/ a traditional backup battery which has cells connected in parallel. ... show more
