We bought this to keep an eye on my husbands grandmother who has Alzheimer’s and lives with us. We’ve been struggling with her getting up in the mornings before us and having accidents as she forgets to use the bathroom. Since we put this in her room to keep an eye on her we have had 0 accidents. We’re able to keep an eye on her in the mornings before we go downstairs to check on her and once we see she’s awake we’re able to go down to bring her to the bathroom. The picture quality is decent for the cost of the camera. Definitely able to see what’s going on but it is a little blurry at night. I love that we’re able to move the camera through the monitor as well as play music through the camera. There are 5 different music options including lullabies, waves, and white noise. We have the setting turned on so that when she makes a noise the display on the monitor turns on. We plug the monitor in to charge in the mornings/throughout the day and then bring it upstairs with us around 8pm. The battery usually has 1 bar left by the morning time. I wish it lasted longer but it really isn’t that big a deal to plug it in every morning.

We got this camera monitor for our newborn - I was having trouble leaving her alone for naps during the day, so a camera monitor was the way we went. I like it a lot - VTech delivers on the features and product quality for value. However, I wish I was more motion sensitive and sound sensitive. Many times, our baby would wake up and we’d hear her crying from the hall before the monitor would register or video feed turn on. That’s my only beef with this thing.

We love this baby monitor, the picture quality is decent for the price and the screen size is large enough. The fact that it is not a wifi monitor gives me peace of mind. I also like the fact that it has the option to play white noise which helps my baby sleep during naptime.

I love everything about this monitor! The only 2 things I will say are 1- I wish the camera could get a better lower angle. You have to angle the camera a certain way (I had to rig it to the wall with tape). I wish it would see lower so I could get a direct angle about my childs crib. 2- it takes a very long time to charge the parent unit. Once it is charged it’s great but it takes a while to get there. Besides these two things I love this camera!!

I really like this monitor, but every once in a while it will just refuse to connect to the camera. This happens mostly when the room is both light and dark. It's like the camera gets stuck trying to decide between night vision and color vision. It's a pain because you have to go in the kid's room and turn the camera on and off to get it working. Other than that it's great. I really like that it has a temperature function. My kid's room is sometimes hotter or colder than other rooms so it's nice to see if a window needs to be opened or if the heater needs to be turned up. Also note, this version CANNOT be expanded to 2 cameras. I found this out the hard way and wish I'd purchased the one with 2 cameras.
