  • Quality - Easy to use - Good price
Overall I recommend this snow blower. I live in the Midwest/Chicagoland area so snow is a given. This season yielded more than 10” so far. Given the future forecast I decided to purchase this blower because of its larger capacity, electric power, push button start and ease of use. As a woman, I’m not comfortable using a gas powered blower and they are more expensive. This Voltask model works a lot better than using a shovel or small 13” battery type shovel on a large area. Since it’s electric, added awareness is needed to ensure the cord doesn’t get in the way, but I don’t mind because the unit is easy to maneuver, powerfully moves through snow, emits no fumes and meets my needs. It took me 2 hours to assemble, but I’m sure more mechanically inclined people could reduce that window. The directions could have been written better. All parts were included and the blower shipped well packed. The videos show the snow blower moving 2” of wet snow along a sidewalk. Only 1 video is allowed, so I couldn’t include the post completion video of the large driveway and path. The unit also did well back on 11/29 when 6” of heavy snow fell. This snow blower is a good purchase. No regrets. ... show more

  • Great value, impressive power! Great value, impressive power!
Size: 12-Inch Corded
I ordered this power shovel based simply on cost and delivery timing; I needed it in two days before a storm arrived. Impressive power packed into a small package. This thing really throws the snow! I let the storm get away from me a little and let the accumulation get above the recommended depth for the tool, but by taking half passes I was able to clear my driveway of more than 10" of heavy snow. Now, I did run into a couple of issues with overloading the shovel, but I knew I was totally giving it a lot to handle. Given how deep the snow was and how heavy, without thinking I walked too fast and the snow built up in front, and the overload was triggered. No problem, give it a 10-second rest and I was off and running again. I learned how to pace myself and cut back on my walking speed to prevent overloading it. But seriously, looking at the video, this little thing doesn't lack power given its price and size. The other criteria I used when shopping for this is that I knew a cordless tool wasn't going to cut it. I have a pretty good sized double-car driveway and we were expecting a lot of snow. I needed unlimited runtime. Given my storage space, budget, and runtime constraints, corded was the way to go (versus gas ($$$) or cordless (also $$ and weak)). Another hiccup I encountered was that the machine jammed when I encountered a pile of leaves and debris hidden under the snow along a retaining wall. After clearing the jam the machine was fine, but it made me realize that this product is really only suitable for clean, level, paved or concrete driveways. Not gravel or where there might be rocks or debris hiding under the snow. Our driveway is concrete and in good condition. (I'm realizing that it's probably good practice to blow or sweep the driveway before a snowstorm if I'm expecting to use this tool). Also, the 12-inch width means making lots of passes -- but at least you're not lifting or pushing heavy loads of snow. This blower really sends it! One final note: the control for the louvers that allow some directional control accumulated some snow/ice so that the actual degree swing was minimal towards the end of the job. When clean and dry it's about 30 degrees each way, but by the end I was only able to throw snow forward with maybe 5-10 degrees of control. Adjusting my pattern for wind conditions, I was still able to clear my driveway pretty thoroughly. So for the price, I don't think you can do much better. Just use it under conditions it was designed for, or, if you have more than 6" of snow, take partial passes or slow your walking speed. Level paved walkways or driveways only. ... show more

  • Throws well
Size: 12-Inch Corded
This thing is a beast! Throws about 15 feet. Scapes down to the concrete with little extra effort. It arrived 2 days after I could’ve used it, but that’s my fault. As we all do after shoveling and sitting in pain, I started searching for a better way. I took away 1 star because within a minute of using it, the directional control had frozen and I was only able to turn it 1 way. Later on I wasn’t able to move it at all but that seems to be the case with all the electric shovels that have this feature. Tested it on 2 day old 3 inch deep snow that had started to freeze. Yes, it is a pain in the butt having a cord, but that’s nothing in comparison to a short battery life and constant charging. The weight is not bad, and the handle length is good for me at 6feet tall. It does get caught up easily on concrete joints, but what shovel doesn’t? Sticks could cause an issue. The one small one I encountered got chopped up, but heard the motor labor through it. Have to investigate if it’s belt drive and if available for replacement. The real test will be this coming Sunday and the “catastrophic storm” that’s making its way up the coast to northern NJ😂 ... show more

  • Worked well.
Size: 12-Inch Corded
worked well this past winter. Seemed to have enough power, having it attached to extension cord wasn't issue.

  • It quit working after a few minutes
Size: 12-Inch Corded
I was really hopeful that this would work well. It was extremely easy to put together. I am fairly small and weak, so when I say something’s easy to put together and use, I mean, probably a 10-year-old could do it… And using it was super easy as well, when it worked. I made it about 7 feet down my sidewalk and it just stopped working. At first, I thought I blew a breaker, but I didn’t. Then I thought maybe it was my cord, but it wasn’t. It worked well for the whole two minutes it did work, but it definitely wasn’t worth the money I spent for two minutes worth of snow removal! I ended up having a pull out an actual snow shovel and shovel my driveway and sidewalk. It’s a great idea, and if it would work, maybe be worth every penny. It definitely follows the value of work smarter not harder. But, I spent more time hooking it up, than it actually worked. And unfortunately, since it doesn’t snow here very often, it’s past the point of being able to return it, before I realized it wouldn’t work. So I suggest saving your money I’m buying an actual snowblower when you can afford one, which is what I plan to do. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of this broken thing! So even more of a headache ... show more

  • more fun than using a shovel for sure
Size: 12-Inch Corded
Works ok, more fun than using a shovel for sure. It does get clogged kind of easy if the snow is really wet. Seems pretty durable though and sold value for the cost. I am sure the corded version gives it more power, but dealing with the extension cord is rather annoying, wonder how good the battery version would be. Easy to use, my 14 year old used. Makes it easier on the back for sure. ... show more

  • Great blower
Size: 12-Inch Corded
Second season using this and it still works great. Only knock i have is that the handle is a little short for me. Im 6' and I have to bend over just a bit if using both hands on it. Still it beats shoveling manually

  • Great machine
Size: 17-Inch Corded
We recently moved to Kansas from Louisiana and have never had to shovel snow before. Our HOA typically does it when it’s over 2 inches but they typically don’t get to it until late in the day. I wanted something that I could use in case they don’t come and this thing actually worked very good. I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more
