  • Great!
Because of problems with my hip and knee joints, I haven't been able to get in and out of the tub for over 4 years. This chair has made it possible for me to take a tub bath again! I've never really enjoyed showers, so I'm really, really happy with this chair! It stays put, and works great. A bonus is that the back of it leans back so you can lie back and soak. The seat is a little "rocky," but doesn't cause any problems. The side flaps aren't useful because my tub is extra wide. Also, I recently fell and couldn't get up. My son brought the chair into my room, and I was able to get back on my feet. What a blessing it has turned out to be! BTW, my daughter warned me that this chair was frequently returned, but I'm guessing that is due to it not fitting in some tubs. My tub is a little over 5 ft, and the chair fits well enough that I can have a comfortable and enjoyable bath. ... show more

  • Game Changer
My 88 year old dad loves baths. The walk-in bath was not in our budget. However, this bath lift did the trick for the fraction of the price. We are so happy because with his memory challenges, being able to take a bath is calming and a great solution. Highly recommend this product.

  • Works great
This does everything it's supposed to do. The issue is it's really large. We were going to use it in a walk in shower, and it wouldn't fit. Probably great for a bath tub.

  • jacuzzi tub
It works great in my jacuzzi tub for my wife. You have to have short legs but it saves tearing out the existing tub. It would have been nice to get the correct measurements of the chair. The base was only 12 inches it said 16 which would have tight. The chair works great!

  • VOLLGUT Electric Reclining Bath Lift Chair
PRO/CON - Once in place its in place (PRO). Need to re-position, however the suction is so great I have not been able to move the chair. Still a good buy.

  • More solid that the more expensive Drive Medical unit.
I was hesitant at first to purchase this unit as it was so much cheaper price-wise that I thought it couldn't be all that good. I was wrong. It's much sturdier than the Drive units I have purchased in the past. I use the bath lift every time I get in the tub. The last Drive unit lasted less than a year. It quit in the down position (completely recharged) and I had to call the fire department at 1 AM (night owl) to get me up and out of the tub. How embarrassing. The poor young fireman is probably scarred for life, having to pick up a fat, naked, old woman out of the tub. Anywhere, the new unit is working fine. It has a metal lift pole versus the Drive plastic one and I just feel more secure with it. It also lowers into the water farther than the Drive unit. I have an 18-inch deep tub and I can feel the difference in depth. I do wish it had the built-in hook for the hand control that the Drive unit has. They sent a suction cup thing to hang it on, but it won't work with my bathroom layout. ... show more

  • Works for my own reasons.
I didn't buy this for the intended use. My wife is invalid and I thought this could be handy to get her up from the floor if we failed to transfer from her wheelchair to bed etc. I bought this two months ago and just used it for the second time this morning. The mere fact that this lift can recover us from these not so often dilemmas makes it well worth the price. It only lifts about 20 inches but that happens to be the exact height of the seat on my wife's wheel chair. I would like to be able to buy one of these that had an additional eight or ten inches of height. I recharge the remote after each use but don't know if that is actually needed. I just want it ready to go if I need it. The device doesn't have any indicator of it's state of charge. I give it a three hour of charge with each use. I'm very pleased to have this item available even if not for the intended purpose. Shipping, packaging and all of those things were first class. ... show more
