I bought this rack recently to carry my 14.5' kayak on a 5 hour trip to the shore of NC. It was much more reasonably priced than the popular brands of aftermarket racks (although I have read this rack is actually manufactured by one of them for VW). The construction is sturdy and of high quality. It installs easily, and follows the contours of the vehicle well. My Rhino Rack saddles fit the T-track without issue and held the 60 pound kayak effectively on the rack. I wish the rack were available in a completely black finish, and it would be nice if it were lower profile. Was easy to install but you need to pay attention to the front and rear, there is a difference between both racks.

I purchased these for my 2015 VW Golf. I installed them myself after researching how to do so on Youtube. Very easy. I picked these over other name brands because I liked that they were flush with the car, the ends don't hang over. I gave these rating a 4 star because I am a Princess and the pea. It does create wind noise. But I have gotten used to it. So not too bad. They also fit the Thule SUP taxi nicely. ... show more

Fit well on my 4 four GTI with the panoramic sunroof. No issues there. Wind noise is pretty high though without a wind deflector. With the sunroof closed its noticable above about 50 or so. Having the sunroof open above that speed is absurd. I put rocky mount bike racks on it with no problem. I may update when I get a wind deflector. ... show more
