The only thing I don't like about the light is we went away for a couple days and when we came home the light was on. Our power in the house and when the power came on the light came on. We do not know how long the light was on. The fan is wired direct without a wall switch so we do not have the ability to just cut the power when we leave with a wall switch. ... show more

Are you tired of that old 48" wood fan that you have had up for years? Then this low profile moderen fan by VOLISON might be somthing to consider. Do you like pulling a cord or having to get up and flip the switch on the wall to turn your fan off or on and then you only have the same old color of light that you have had for years. Wouldn't it be nice if you could judt kick back in your recliner with a remote control to turn your fan on or off or even turn your fan up or down. Well with this 19.5 inch fan you could just do that and also you have three different modes for the color of light you prefer at the time. if you want to make it brighter or just dim the light down you can do that too. This fan has six different speeds and all tell you what it can put out some air and it's still more quiet then your old wood fan.How i know this is because i used to have one of those old wood fans that are a real pain to install. Once you have your old fan down you already got your electrcal box and you can be up in running in about 15 minutes the installation is that simple. I have two of this type fans in my house were i live, there both in bedrooms but this fan would work in a dininig room,kitchen, or living room and in my opinion they are a lot safer then your old wood fan if you should ever stick something in to the fan by accident. If your thinking that it's way to small to put out as much air as my old wood fan that rocks back and forth and makes a bunch of noise on it's high setting then your wrong. If any of this sounds familiar to you then you really might want to take a closer look at this fan by VOLISON because i wouldn't ever go back to my old wood fan when i can just sit in my chair or lay in my bed with the remote control. Trust me I used to think the same way but you will be a lot happier with one of these type fans and the remote control works great. So, for whatever reason, the designers of this product decided to make it beep each and every time you turn it on. Not annoying enough for me to uninstall it and return it but I would definitely not recommend this to anyone or would I ever buy another one. Who says, "Hey, let's make this light beep every time someone turns it on"? Then, it actually takes a second person to say, yeah, that's a good idea. SMH ... show more
