I love the idea of having little fires for the ambience and to roast s’mores on during summer nights. That being said I just haven’t found the right fuel for these yet. I’ve tried a few and each time it’s like an active volcano with blazing heat and flames for about 5 mins and then nothing. It’s a gorgeous product but near impossible to put out. The sniffer barely covers one of the cylinders, so they keep lighting each other back up. Very tough to put all of them out. Highly recommended to use a long lighter and use no more than like a quarter full on each cylinder.

For the price, this is an okay tabletop fireplace. The base is very heavy but the finish scratches easily. The included snuffer does not work at all - it does not completely cover the cylinders so it cannot actually put out the fire. You have to wait for the fuel to burn out on its own, or use an insert that has a different snuffer. The white rocks included get singed if they are in the flames. The price is reasonable, but the quality is not very high. ... show more
