These is by far the best purchase we made for our outdoor project. But I bought all the accessories. After ready the negative comments here it would appear you *MUST* have the heat deflector and the hard table top. Without the hard table top the cover will collect rain water like a bird bath. I got the table top scratch and dent off Tiki site for $50. I had to look hard to find the dent. And the heat deflector does an amazing job of channeling the very little bit of smoke the does escape straight up and out. No one smells like smoke after hours of sitting just a few feet away. It burns hot so it will burn through thin logs quickly. Thick logs can last long as it burns every bit of the wood. There are no chunks of burnt wood when the fire goes out. It is complete ash. I have this for several fires now and will get right to the good and could be better. The good: *Looks great *built solid *nice cover *Definitely low smoke. It does smoke at startup and if you let it burn down and add several logs all at once. No one ever waves their hands anymore trying to get the smoke out of their eyes. It's just not there. My clothes and hair still have a little smoke smell when done, but I'm the one lighting the fire and adding wood. *Burns hot. We have been able to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with a good flame. No more waiting for the logs to burn down into coals and the flame to disappear. As long as you have some good coals under the fire, cooking is good with a flame. Actually need to keep it farther from the fire than you would think. The could be better: *Opening is not as big as my firewood. I had to cut all my logs in half. If they stick out of the top of the pit, you get smoke. I've not burnt the bag of wood that came with it. I prefer a long fire with logs. *Because the fire is down in the pit, the heat is not felt as easily when sitting nearby. The heat has to go up first. It's good for a summer fire, but when the temps were in the 50's we had to stand next to it to really feel the heat. *the recommend letting the fire just burn out naturally and the coal cool overnight. I.e. no water to put it out. If you do that, the fine powder is easy to clean up. If you put it out with water, it is a bit of a mess to clean up. And if you don't clean it up, the water will cause it to rust. So I recommend you let it die out naturally. There are very few sparks and pops with this fire. ... show more

Significantly less smoke than my previous firepit, if not almost zero smoke but so far no smell of smoke on my clothes or the house which the previous pit did. The overall design is the best, sleek and modern of all smokeless firepit in the market and cleaning looks to be an easy task. Quick to start a fire and provides high amount of heat energy! Overall nice, bit extra for cleaning. So the cover caves in with rain have to put like a prop or object like ball inside to keep cover from caving in. Water and ashes will rust it out. We didn’t really understand firepits and outdoor living until we moved to Minnesota. Now we use one regularly to spend more time outdoors, prolong the season for being outdoors, and simply enjoy the coziness of a fire pit to bring family and friends together. We decided to upgrade to the Tiki Stainless Steel Low Smoke version and already we love it. It was very simple to put together. It took about five minutes. I love the design and that it is incredibly sturdy. It’s manageable to move easily. It’s got a diameter of 25 inches, so it does not take a huge amount of space. Best of all, I love the wood-pack that came with it. It was very easy to light and because of the depth of the fire pit itself, I was able to do it easily in high winds. The wood pack created a robust fire that provided a lot more warmth than I expected. And it was truly SMOKELESS! The packs last a little over thirty minutes which was perfect for us. With our old fire pit, in order to produce a similar fire and heat, we would have had to build a pretty big fire and tend it to for hours after the fun. I’m glad I can use regular firewood or the wood pack, however I am already a huge fan of the ease of the wood packs and the certainty of knowing when the fire is out. I immediately signed up for monthly delivery of the Tiki wood pack and was eligible for a ten percent discount on the packs. The fire pit has been a great addition to our household! ... show more

This does a great job distributing the heat as long as you get some of the accessories. Clean up is easy and straightforward, and I typically use the Tiki wood pellet bags to get things started. You can add traditional logs later, which also works very well in this fire pit.

Super classy looking smokeless fire pit. It really does reduce smoke greatly and the smell doesn’t make your clothes stinky. I have the Reunion version and you can make a huge fire, pretty sizable..Super happy!
