Bought this as a gift for a good friend. She just got her own place on 5 acres. Her friend boy put it together for her in little time she said. However, he is also a handyman. LOL Neither one had ever seen this type before. Truly love it! Now I want one. LOL Bought a cover for it also for protection. She was more excited over this than anything! Said the Quality was very good. Loved the designs of the trees that glow from it.

Sturdy and well built. Easy to put together. Wish it had a rack above the ash catcher for the logs to be put on for better airflow. Had one in our previous portable fire pit that lasted 15 years so we put that one in our new fire pit and it fit and adds the airflow we feel it needs.

Went well putting it together right up until the end. It came missing 2 nuts. No big, I just bought some of the appropriate size. When it came time to assemble the door, the parts did not fit together even close to what they were meant to. The top half is current sitting on the ground as I write this, we're taking a break and going to resume here shortly. Having a socket set on hand will help a lot.

I'm in the middle on this one. I really like the concept and design, but it's not as big as they advertise. Assembled, it's 35 inches tall with the legs, but the sphere itself is only 28 inches. The one I received had damage to the styrofoam packing, but the box was fine, so someone repacked it to hide the damage. There were a few scratches in the finish and almost all of the pieces were bent out of shape. Rather than return it in exchange for most likely another damaged one, I used some grill paint on the scratches and reshaped the pieces. It's made of metal that is mailable enough to make reshaping possible. There are a lot of parts and it takes a while to assemble, but is pretty sturdy once completed. The grill rack, ash pan, and poker are sturdy too and nice to have included. More than halfway through putting it together, I found excess welding material had spilled down into the threads in a few spots and I couldn't proceed until that was corrected. I didn't have the right size in my tap set, so I ended up using a needle file to clear the threads, which took me a couple of extra hours. Once completed it looks nice and the 360 screens keep sparks and flyaway embers contained, but with the first use the finish on the ash pan began to peel off. I had to sand the area and use the grill paint again to repair an area about 7 inches across. All in all, it's decent for the price and the sphere/screen design allows for excellent airflow. Just an after thought, the legs are hollow and have no caps on the bottom, leaving them open to the elements and critters.
