The media could not be loaded. For as little and as chintzy this pump looks, it really packs a punch to help drain my pool. Although I have an auto-drain for the pool, the drain was plugged, so I had to resort to something else. The flow and pump rate is astounding. Within a half an hour I’ve been able to get my pool level down to an acceptable Level. My Pool Company is also astounded by the cost and ability of this pump.

The pump sucks really really good. I use it to empty my turtle tank water and it sucks up all the debris quickly, best purchase for this. The only annoyance that prevented a 5 star is the hose it comes with was kinked in 3 spots and the kinks do not come out easily and if you live the kinks alone, the motor will suffer performance and over heating very quickly. Its a great pump though, if you purchase this buy 2 hoses as well. Also, remove the rubber gasket from the end of the hose that is going in the water, the pump sucked it up and i can't find that ring anywhere now.

I was expecting a better performance for this pump.- I read a lot of comments from many pumps and finally I decide to buy the Vivosun 1 hp water transfer pump.- I bought new hoses with tips adapters excited that finally I found a solution to the problem I have when rain hard. I have a problem in my parking driveway when rain strong, the water level rise up because is a low level surface and take several hours to drain.- I though to help to push the water with a pump directly to the manhole aside the sidewalk.- Is clean water and I have been using many times this pump, following the poor instructions of the manual but the power of suction is poor. It doesn't matter what I try. I test placing the pump very close from the water source ; I place it 2 feet from the suction place and pumping in a hose away 50 feet in flat ground level to the next manhole and is totally false this equipment have the capability of move 2250 gallons per hour. the instruction are very simple to operate, but is very week the suction power. I test her capability and pump aprox 5 gallons each 15 minutes.- In total 60 gallons per hour. Is a waste of electricity because is 10 amp consumption which is aprox 1,000 watts. Or 1 kw-hour/ per hour. Take like 5 hours to drain the rain water accumulated in this low level area of my driveway.- I don't recommed this product. For me is almost useless.- I expend more that 100 bucks expecting something better and serious equipment. is another piece of crap coming from China trough Amazon which is invading US from mediocre products.- Beside that you don't find description about what type of carbon brushes use, or impeler model in case scenario we need replace this parts which are more vulnerable to wear. I am looking on Amazon If I find such info and doesn't appear nothing about parts. Same thing on the manual that came with the pump. I would wish return it If I could; but I open the box 3 weeks after buy it, and pass already the month to recovery my money and return the garbage. I hope this comment be useful for others.

The media could not be loaded. I read other reviews, and almost didn't buy it for the lone star writers, but I took a chance on it for the price. It works flawlessly! For those that said it overheated, I'd bet that you are either not priming it, or you are using that kinky little hose that comes with it for the inflow. It is a little noisy, but I don't care. My boat is not sinking anymore! And FYI, it makes for an awesome bilge pump for a leaky pontoon boat. Advice: Get yourself an old straight garden hose, cut it to the needed length, and use that for the inflow.

The media could not be loaded. Update: I've used this thing for 2 seasons now which is at least 40 hours (probably much more) and it's still going strong. Still haven't needed the included extra impeller and brush kit. I'd buy it again. Update #2: I spoke too soon. Stopped pumping on season 3. Motor worked but the pump stopped working. Got louder as it aged. I took it apart and didn't see any reason for the issue. Toward the end of its life it pumped less and less. Pumps may be one of those things where you truly get what you pay for. I've had $80 pumps with a similar lifespan Original review: I can't speak about longevity but it does what it says. I checked mine and it averaged 300gph. It's a tad noisy but I think that is the nature of this type of pump. It comes with everything needed except the discharge hose. Extras include a replacement impeller and brush set for the motor. At first use it wouldn't seem like a product that will last for years but it may surprise me. I just use it to keep the swimming pool level below our mesh cover during the winter. It will probably see 12 hours of pretty solid use this winter so hopefully if it breaks it will be during the warranty period.

The media could not be loaded. This pump comes with a base that allows it to stand freely and disperse the water. It comes with a short Standard garden hose, but I bought an adapter to a smaller hose for my job. I had to drain a line for our camper hookups and it was simple and fast. I only had used this one time, but it seems to be built to last. Recommend this product and I would buy again.
