No weird plastic-like smell, no strange residue left on the hands, and the "premium composite material" (whatever the heck that is) itself feels super sturdy. Just the right amount of texture too. And for extra fun they're real bouncy! If I had one slight gripe: I wish one (or perhaps two) in the set were somewhat larger. Even at 5cm diameter they feel a little small for my hand (see attached photo). But their size as-is does make them quite versatile, I'll give them that. All around I'm very pleased with these! I'm already using them all the time for general hand/finger/wrist discomfort due to repetitive computer use. Plus I can get pretty fidgety so they're perfect for that too!

Because of arthritis, I do not have much strength in my hands. I want to be able to build up my strength so that I can continue doing my favorite hobbies, which include crocheting and cardmaking. Sometimes my hands feel so sore but I am finding that if I use these balls regularly...usually while I am watching TV, they feel much better.
