I am a long distance runner and having hip bursitis and IT band issues. Ordered 5 different hip braces to find some relief. Hands-down this was the best one of the 5 I ordered. Prices ranged from $15-$30 of the ones I ordered. This one was the most expensive of the 5 at $30 but clearly is different/better than the others. No questions asked. This one came in two different sizes instead of one size fits most. That was also a deciding factor for me. I’m very petite at 95 pounds so smaller was better for me. The one size fits most had far too much excess material. With the Velcro I could still make them fit, but there just was a lot of extra bulk I did not need. The size small also fit my husband at 6’,1“ and 165 pounds. This one clearly provided the greatest amount of support in the hip and waist/back area. There was an obvious difference in the amount of support between this one and the others. The decision of which 5 I tried was for me was very obvious. There was no debating the others and the choice was clearly this brand. Relatively comfortable to wear, considering what it is.

In sum: It is the best thing I have found for me. Below are my considerations: Plus: The hip support is the proper length to actually support the hip (mostly the gluteus medius) and keep the wrap in place. The wrap covers my entire thigh from groin to within a few inches of the knee. I like the detachable straps that I use to press on specific charlyhorses while using the short roots to grab the wrap. I was able to put a tighter wrap under it to compensate for the defidiency below. The hooks parts of straps grab that well, as does its own, allowing me to vqary the pressure for a complex of charly horses, some by stretching, some by use of the strap extension and some by adding hook and loop strips. Minus: Between the edge grips, the wrap is not very tight, seemingly made for someone with big round thighs as the models have. I am built large and my thighs were not even that shape when they were well muscled from playing soccer in my youth. The wrap and the belt are poor recipeints of the hooks parts of the straps and belt. I have needed to buy hook and loop rolls to make sections of good recipience. I also use them to hold the under- wrap in place, and to augment thickness, so there is not a whole lot of loss there In all, I repeat, It is the best thing I have found for me.

I realized I needed to up my brace game as my sciatica is past level 10 painful sometimes. I can't even lift my 5 pound work bag without feeling shooting pain and numbness in my left leg. So after reading reviews I got this brace. It was bigger than I expected, but easily fit around my waist and thigh. The directions that come with it are pretty much just pictures but it's easy to follow. I struggled the first time putting it on as I kept losing the grip on the thigh straps. But then I got it down. I find that if I stand, and prop my leg up on a bathtub side it is way easier to wrap around my thigh. It did not take all the pain away like i had hoped, but it took a lot of it away and brought it down from a level 11-about 4 which for me is a big deal. I'm getting more used to the feel of it and it fits easily under workout shorts. I'm only using this for exercise and not an everyday work thing as it it gets sweaty and gross, but the pain is way less so I'll take some extra sweat in exchange for not feeling like I can't function!

I didn't know what to think of this because of the low cost. Figured I'd try it and see if I liked it. I want going to be out a lot of I didn't like it. I got this for a groin injury and so far I really like this. Comfortable to wear and isn't bulky at all.

The Velcro, on the thigh of the brace constantly gets caught on your other thigh, and comes undone.
