This boot is comfortable, not too heavy, and easy to use. It has worked well for me so far. However, the velcro on the top flap under the straps has stopped "sticking" well after 4 weeks. The velcro straps ARE working great, but the boot is not as snug as it could be at the top. Seems to be well made. The air pump seems to make a bit of difference, but I don't feel a huge change. I wear a women's size 8 shoe and I got a size M boot. There is 2 inches from my big toe to the end of the boot. Maybe i could have gotten a small, but i didn't want my toe at the edge of the boot. i find no issues with the size I bought. ... show more

The boot is for my son who has three of his metatarsal bones broken. His orthopedic Doctor fit him in a boot going up to the knee, pretty heavy and bulky. He was f to tired of it. We got this boot with an overnight delivery and he is wearing reg ing it since this morning. He like it very much. The size, the weight everything is less and more comfortable. He has at least one more month to go and I’m glad we found something to make him comfortable. It’s a good stuff, great construction and above all comfortable. If like me, you’re somewhat between sizes, size down. I went up, and it’s hard walking in a boot that’s too big. Like 2” have been added to my toes, and it does something weird to my step. The only time you should size up is when you’re specifically trying to heal a toe. But if it’s an ankle or Achilles, go smaller, it will be easier on the injury. The bottom is SO THICK, like unnecessarily so, and it contributes to the weird walk. So because I’m walking so weird, the hard sides of the boot push uncomfortably against the side of my leg bone, causing discomfort and pain over time. It’s like fighting against itself. The air slowly escapes, and every once in a while you gotta add some more pumps. A small annoyance. Especially because it’s hard to notice until you realize your ankle is moving around. If like me, you don’t have the luxury of healing on the couch, normal daily use gets this thing dirty FAST, and it’s hard to clean. Also the foam by the toes is already coming apart. I had a surgery on my Achilles and I was in a boot for over a month. I did not like the boot I had so I purchased this one and it’s much more comfortable. It’s easy to put on, relieves pain on the heel and easy to take off. My only issue is the pumping, you have to figure out a good way to pump because if you don’t, it will take forever to inflate.
