Description

Bonsai is the art of cultivating miniature trees that are intentionally shaped and maintained to create a unique, visually appealing composition. While both bonsai and normal trees share the same botanical origins, the cultivation techniques, size, and aesthetics set them apart from one another. Our bonsai trees come with detailed care instructions, making it simple for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts to maintain their trees. Bonsai is a Japanese term derived from two words: "bon," which means "tray" or "shallow container," and "sai," which means "planting" or "to grow." Together, the word "bonsai" refers to the art of growing miniature trees in small containers or trays. Bonsai trees are intentionally grown to be miniature versions of their full-sized counterparts. Grown in shallow containers or trays, help limit their growth and maintain their small size. Our Beautiful Bonsai Tree Collection makes an exceptional gift for friends, family, or any nature lover in your life. The practice of caring for a bonsai tree has been known to provide relaxation, stress relief, and improved focus, contributing to overall mental and emotional well-being. From bonsai trees to vegetable seeds, we offer a wide range of products to meet your gardening needs. We are committed to delivering healthy, happy plants straight to your doorstep, and we're always happy to share our knowledge and expertise with you.

  • They give you every chance to get it right
I got these for a Christmas gift. I got 8 starters, all of which had good root systems already developing, 7 of which made it past the planting stage, and all of those 7 were sprouting strong, healthy greenery just a week or so after being planted in their pots. Three weeks after receiving them, all 7 are firming up their potted roots, and sprouting even more new leaves. If they don't make it after this, it's all on me. I'm going to have to learn about exactly how one goes about all the trimming, wiring, and pruning involved ('ve already read that the weeping variety DOES NOT like wiring), but this little set has given me a great start, and I hope I can do them eventual justice. Really happy with this gift, and--considering what these might turn out to be, and all the enjoyment I foresee in tending them--I think it's a great investment for the price. ... show more

  • The Seller is a person of integrity and he knows that what he is selling to you is worth the moneyo
I found my willow branches in my mailbox which is pretty far at the endow a v very long driveway. I had been, sick so I could not go out for a few days. they happened to be the coldest days and nights of the year so far, with wind chills of 15 below. The sticks were frozen solid! I explained this to him and he said that they might be alright but that in any case he will send me replacements right away. Then he said he was sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused me. WOW! that interaction was really easy. So great. He sincerely wanted me to be satisfied. Now THATS UNUSUAL these days. Well he did as promised and in one or two days I received a brand new set of branches to put in water. They grow so fast, it’s hard to believe. You can almost see them sprouting roots and leaves! Look how wonderful these are! They are so much fun to watch as they grow; every time I see them they remind me about what a miracle life is. I have a great many plants of all kinds, but I think these are just about my favorite. I am going out to Home Depot now to buy pots to plant them in. I are unhesitatingly recommend these to anyone who loves plants. It would be a great project for kids as well. ... show more

  • Odd variety. One is tropical, the others are not.
The Austrialian doesn't belong. Its a tropical TREE, for 50°F and above. The other two are very cold hearty. If your climate supports 50+ all year long, yeah, I've seen some pictures, cool medium-sized trees. Weeping are actual 70' willow trees. Be aware you ain't gonna Bonsai that thing. Its the full-size variety. Flame looks to turn out to be a 4-6' ball when full grown, shrublike. You can go crazy starting these, just make sure you have somehwere to plant them. The willows are taking up a 100' radius, but you should be able to cut that down to 50 feet between full grown trees given enough water (live by a pond or creek you are golden) ... show more

  • So far, so good!
Short term: All pieces sprouted roots and stems with leaves. Much too soon to know what will happen long term.

  • Varied customer ratings, but my experience has been great! Growing well.
Varied customer reviews and ratings, but I took a chance on this. I think this is a great product. They do give you small instructions and I followed them. Technically I accidentally forgot about them and didn't put them in soil for the first 2 days they arrived - my fault. I immediately ran to get them in soil and they have been lively. I think the seller is kind enough to give you a big stump and a few smaller ones just in case one of them dies which is absolutely phenomenal and very much appreciated! That's customer service! I still have to move them to bigger pots as these were my emergency ones so don't try to do what I did. I left them in these red cups as I had to go on a trip and look at how quickly they've grown! This was taken about just a few days later! So a great before and after photo. Will probably have to hold myself back from buying from them again. ... show more

  • Customer service is fantastic... BUT product is not!!
I received cuttings and all looked ok. The cuttings all rooted quickly and most even spouted leaves. Within 2 weeks one of the cuttings developed a black spot that spread to the entire cutting. I contacted customer service and received a replacement in a timely manner. Within another 2-3 weeks the other cuttings developed the same black fungus. I contacted company received replacement of entire order (all cuttings) followed instructions and each and every cutting developed the same fungus! I babied these little trees! I so wanted them to survive. I contacted company again, received replacement cuttings and again each and everyone developed fungus!! Very disappointed! I know that growing from cuttings vs. seed does result a weaker plant susceptible to disease but I expected that given my care and precautions AT LEAST ONE of the 15+ cuttings would’ve survived. Sadly, lots of time and effort and no baby willow. ... show more

  • A Self Induced Challenge
This is going to be interesting. Through no fault of the seller, CZ Grain, I didn’t get these cuttings until March 23! I had the package shipped to the wrong address and was unable to pick these cuttings up until one month after they arrived! I have purchased from this seller mulriple times and have only received, rather quickly, quality plant seeds and healthy willow cuttings. I put the cuttings in water immediately. It was obvious these cuttings had been severely neglected - again, by me. The paper towels that are wrapped around the root end of the cuttings were damp and when I attempted to remove the paper, it just peeled away, almost disintegrating as I touched it. The root end of the cuttings were mostly blackened and looked as if there might be a fungus present. Surprisingly, there was quite a bit of growth on most cuttings. Not surprisingly the growth was discolored. Instead of being the healthy green growth that CZ Grain willow cuttings develop when cared for properly, this growth was rather scary looking. These cuttings looked like sci-fi movie props. Some of the growth was all white and looked similar to straight, long potato sprouts rather than willow greenery. Some of the white, sprout like growth had tips that were blackening and curling up (think Wicked Witch of the West after her run-in with the house.) Other growth was black and appeared to have melted back to the base. That growth looked more like odd, mushy tumors. I cut off the blackened, apparently rotten areas at the root end of some of the more hopeless looking pieces. I also trimmed the black, dead looking growth growing out of the cuttings. I then placed the cuttings in jars filled with about two inches of water. Willows are tough but if any of these survive, after a month of no water and no sunlight while wrapped up in drying paper towels, stored in plastic baggies and kept in a closed cardboard box, I will be rather surprised. But nothing ventured nothing gained...if even one of these survives, it will be amazing. If it’s possible (translation: if I can figure out how...,) I will add photos of the cuttings now and then provide an update (with photos) a month from now. I’m sorry I did not think of taking photos when the cuttings first arrived, before I trimmed and placed them in water. Although I am actually looking forward to the challenge of saving the lives of these poor, neglected willow cuttings, I will be reordering them again. This time, I will remember to use the correct address. Again I must stress that CZ Grain provides quality cuttings and the dreadful condition of these cuttings was completely my fault. ... show more

  • Mites
These plants came fairly quickly and seemed healthy at first. Rooted quickly but began dying off. I contacted sellers and they promptly replaced 2 out of 3 of the cuttings. However THOSE began to die off as well. I noticed what looked like small little spider webs on the leaves that were falling off and, taking a close look saw them all over the pants. This is not something that already existed in my home as I have other plants that are thriving. My local nursery identified spider mites as the problem and gave me some Noom spray. I kept the final bonsai trying to fight off these critters but to no avail. I appreciate the rapid response of the sellers, however, they are selling infested plants. My daughter who lives in her own home, also purchased from these sellers and has had the same problems. She gave them more opportunities to rectify the problem than I did and still ended up with diseased plants. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them and will not purchase from them again. ... show more
