These are a nice and hefty pair of stainless steel scissors. It’s pretty smooth all around and cuts very well. I like that they are detachable, as sometimes gunk gets stuck at the screw and you can’t get it out. These allow you to detach both sides to clean all areas better, without any unnecessary nooks and crannies. So far it hasn’t rusted, but time will tell how quickly the edge dulls or if it rusts.

So I've used these a LOT so far, and am really impressed by not only how sturdy they are, but how well they work. They're easy to take apart for washing-I just put them in my dishwasher, and they've come put amazing, and that way I know they're sanitized after use with meat. They're very strong and sharp, and have worked well for multiple uses in the kitchen. They'd be a great housewarming gift or for a wedding shower. High quality and great performance.

The media could not be loaded. My wife and I love this kitchen scissors! It is the sharpest scissors that we’ve ever had! We have used it to cut out the backbone from a chicken to spatchcock it, cut up half-thawed chicken breast, chunks of cooked steak, green onions and chives. I have used them to cut open bags, butcher’s twine, and found it very useful to cut up items into bite-sized pieces instead of using a steak knife. I have used it to help me cut a whole Costco pizza that wasn’t cut through all the way at the crusts. I even used it as a bottle opener to open up my beers (a feature that is built into the scissor handle). My wife has used it numerous times to cut the stems when receiving fresh flowers before arranging them. I am curious to see how well it will peel a potato when it’s disassembled, as the product description describes, which I haven’t figured out how to do yet. Oh yah, can't forget the nutcracker feature that is also built into the handle right next to the bottle opener. It does have a nice weight, fits very comfortably in our hands, and does not disappoint. It is very highly polished stainless steel and looks very high-end. My wife loves that she can take them apart to clean very easily. She handwashes the scissors whenever we use it. So far, there is no rust, and the blades have stayed nice and sharp. Even though it is dishwasher safe, we like to handle it like an expensive knife to ensure that the blades don’t get damaged in any way. I tease my wife about all of the kitchen scissors that we have collected in a drawer and wonder why she hasn’t got rid of them yet. We can finally get rid of the broken or junk ones and replace it with this one to free up a lot of precious space! In fact, it even deserves a spot in our butcher block that sits on the counter instead of being tucked into a drawer! I’d easily give it MORE THAN 5 STARS, and I would highly recommend. Great gift for everyone in the kitchen!

These scissors are heavy duty and very good quality. They are easy to grip and use. They are comfortable in your hands. They are nice and sharp. They can go in the dishwasher when used for cooking type applications. They are all metal. They can be used for a wide variety of things. I did all my Christmas wrapping with the scissors, but they can also be used in the kitchen for cooking applications. They are a bit pricey. They should last a long time though.

These kitchen (and craft) shears are simple in design but highly functional and sturdy. They are sharp enough for use with fabric and stationary, but strong enough for use with kitchen jobs like cutting meats. They are simple yet classy and I appreciate that they don't have anything that will wear or break on them since they are fully forged. They are easily cleaned in the dish washer since they are stainless steel and they can come apart when fully opened to avoid any sort of buildup between the blades. They fit back together and move with great precision, so there's no discernible give or gapping at the pivot. I haven't had much use for the nutcracker, but the bottle opener is pretty handy. Now we aren't spending time rifling through a drawer to find our bottle opener since our other old kitchen shears didn't have that feature. As for the potato peeling claim, I imagine these could do the job, but a standard peeler is definitely a more comfortable option. Overall, these shears are a good investment in a set that honestly are probably heirloom quality. I don't see these things going bad any time soon, so as long as the pivot point doesn't wear away much, they should last for decades.

I go though about one set of kitchen scissors a year due to wear, rust, or poor initial quality. I think that trend might be broken this year with this set. They are far more heavy-duty than any of the others I have owned. They are slightly less comfortable to hold, but not too bad for me to take a star off of the 5-star rating. Easy to clean and store as well. Very happy with the product.

This heavy-duty pair of scissors is made by combining two solid stainless steel pieces. You can easily separate them by twisting to a specific angle, a design I really appreciate for its easy cleaning. The material is sturdy stainless steel, suitable for cutting nearly all types of food. It also features a nutcracker for opening nuts or crushing crab claws. I believe it's a highly practical pair of scissors.
