The Velcro holds all day making it wearable day after day if needed. The design is a little lacking for looking like it fits right but it supports her knees and that is what matters.

It would be helpful, it the brace had arrows or signage for above the knee and below the knee. The picture doesn't show the brace on the distal side. The outer side is higher than the inner side of the brace. If you tightly secure the straps, the brace will stay in place. Many of times, the brace has slowly sled down my leg. I suspect the measurements are based on men's sizes not women. I have worn the brace on my knee bare and over my scrubs but that doesn't stop the slipping. If I had to do it again, I would purchase a brace using women's leg measurements not unisex. The brace won't stop the buckling knee pain but it does provide stability support making mobility easier.

In short: This leg brace is SIZED to fit larger bodies, but is not made to FIT larger bodies. Meaning, the sizing is not an issue at all, but the fit of the product is not made for a larger body. I have a torn meniscus and found that the brace doesn't offer compression and support, rather: the brace itself is tight and the only true compression you are feeling is from the tightness of the straps. I had an issue with the brace slipping down and folding at the knee, so I tried wearing it over my pants. I found this to be helpful in keeping the brace in place for longer. I wouldn't buy this again or recommended it to other larger people, but would advise the manufacturer to consider the shapes and sizes of + sized people as opposed to simply sizing a product to fit bigger bodies.

I paid very special attention to the sizing chart and how to measure. I measured twice and both times got 23" which is well within the 3x/4x range on the chart. I bought the 3x/4x as the chart states. When the brace arrived it was too big. Not by a little bit but a lot too big. I measured myself again and checked the chart and still, this was the size that was supposed to fit. I tried to wear the brace but it kept slipping down. I would stop and cinch up the velcro but there was just no way to get it to fit without the hold become too far from the knee to work. I did not feel it was right to return something i wore so I am out the money. The best I can do is warm people the chart is not correct. I was extremely disappointed as it is very hard to find knee braces for larger people like myself.

i was worried about the mixed reviews on this brace, but after consulting the size chart and customer reviews, i ordered a size down. this was perfect. i have arthritis and my knee has been terrible this week, but this got me through 8 hours of standing, bending, and walking like a breeze. it’s so incredibly hard to find a knee brace that will fit me, but this one has three adjustable straps that help customize the fit. it stayed up all through work and i only had to slightly adjust one strap the entire time. it works like a charm, but definitely get a size down from what your measurements are. update: had this for over a year and lost it, so i came right back to get a replacement. still hands down the best brace.

I read a lot of reviews on this product and others that are comparable.. I appreciate everyone who takes the time to relay their experience with their choices and purchases. That being said, this brace is wonderful. I ordered two different sizes as I was in dire need of relief and support. I am keeping both. I found the workmanship to be sturdy, the straps easy to secure and the weight of it unnoticeable . All in all this brace supplied the help I needed and the price is very reasonable. I have only one irritation...the fabric is a magnet for pet hair and lint. It is impossible to pull out of the fabric !!!! All in all the help outweighs the fuzz. PS. Mine has not stretched out very much at all, I have chubby knees as they are getting ready to be replaced but I need to exercise them and leave the braces on, so I bought XL and XXL. I use XL most of the time and XXL over thick sweatpants when I go to the gym.
