This is a nice elderly assist handle for my wife. It is positioned almost at head level, enough for her to grab and help push up to a sitting position. We have a king size bed so we didn't need the strap which attaches to the bed frame. There is no way my wife could push the rail out of the present position. It is easy to assemble, just make sure to read directions. I slid the rail under the mattress and box spring and was surprised as to how sturdy it is! I would recommend this railing to anyone. Great price as well!

I am having abdominal surgery in a few weeks with an estimated 2 weeks of bed rest. I needed something to help me get in and out of bed. I looked at several options and decided on the Vive version. That was a great choice! It is sturdy, easy to put together (mostly) and I believe it will make it doable to get out of bed. The only trouble I had putting it together was the last piece with the crossbar! It is supposed to slide down into the post. I got it about 1/2 way through and couldn't move it or remove it from the post. I decided to go ahead and slide it under the mattress. It was stable enough to at least test it and maybe get further help later. When I slid it under the mattress, it adjusted it enough that I could free it, align it, and install the locking clips. It is the perfect height. Quite pleased with the purchase.

We needed a simple rail to install on the bed of my mom’s Memory Care room bed. The state doesn't allow for full length bed rails (considered restraints) so we opted for this model. It allows her a stable grip when standing up, but we are also able to position it so that she cannot fall out at night. Simple to slide under the mattress too.

Most of these bed rails come in pieces, but they're not hard to put together. Also I can see why many people don't bother to secure the rail with the strap as it's a bit of a project. I like the hand grip and it' seems pretty secure but this clearly needs improvement. The rail height is not adjustable like many others, the rail base is 10 inch shorter than others, and the biggest annoyance for me is the handrail is very wobbly! There are two clips to secure the top rail and they just snap into place, but it leaves the top rail wobbly! The spring clips make it wobbly, and I can't understand why they did not use the same spring pins which are used to put the other pieces together! This was recommended by a friend so I did not research it like I usually do, and I'm hopeful it will help for my upcoming knee surgery.
