We've used these 24-7 with our disabled son for 10 years - he's up around 100 lbs now, and they still do the job of preventing pressure sores. One mat lasts a good 6-7 months or more. He tends to kick, so they last longer if we don't put him on the bed w/ shoes or DAFO's on. Only reason not 5 stars is that the repair kit is hit or miss. ... show more

I was sold on this product the first time I bought one back about 1 year ago. So the first one lasted about 9 months before it got a hole in it. Patched that hole and with in a couple of months later got 2 more holes. Not sure whats going on. So I ordered mattress replacement. With in one month got 2 holes. I have patched but have not put back on my husband bed. He is bed is not able to get out of bed and does little movement so I am not sure if this is a defect or something else. ... show more
