  • The Perfect Vitamix Accessory
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
I have owned a pro series Vitamix blender for many years now, which I like to use to make protein smoothies. I didn't realize these personal cups existed and wish I did a long time ago! I ended up retiring my blender for several years to use a smaller Nutribullet because my Vitamix's original container cup was just way too big for the smoothies I was making. My smaller blender started to have some issues and when I was doing research on replacement blender options, I came across the personal cup adapter for my Vitamix. This adapter set is very expensive, but for me worth it over continuing to buy smaller blenders which will eventually equal the price of these cups (plus no other blender performs as amazingly well as my Vitamix). The cup quality is excellent. The plastic feels thick and durable (would love to see a glass version one day). I want to mention that the mouth caps to drink from are incredibly hard to open and this is coming from a strength athlete. I am not sure if mine are defective or if there is some other type of quality issue going on. I plan to contact Vitamix for some insight as to what might be wrong. The benefit for me with this adapter set is just having access to the smaller cups to use with my Vitamix, but would be nice to have functioning caps. Lastly, I saw a lot of negative reviews mentioning liquids coming out during the blending process. Instructions come with this set that very clearly outline, with both text and visual guidance, how to avoid that from happening. You need to layer ingredients in the cups a particular way, limit how far you fill the cups, and never overly tighten the cap before blending. I have a feeling a lot of people are simply not reading the instructions. Don't be dissuaded by those reviews, these cups work perfectly fine when you use them correctly. UPDATE: Regarding the mouth of the caps being hard to flip open to drink from, I contacted Vitamix and they recommended putting them in the dishwasher, so the plastic can be loosened up a bit with heat. This sure enough fixed the problem and they are now much easier to open. Also I am about four weeks into using this adapter set daily and absolutely love it. Works perfectly with zero issues. ... show more

  • Fabulous…….I am really enjoying this!!!
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
I first started out by reading a bunch of reviews. I was reluctant to make the purchase because of all the comments about leakage. I also didn’t realize they make two different model's. I had to dig out an older model blender I had for this model to work. But at the end of the day it was well worth it. I wanted to address everyone’s leakage issue. Most likely because you don’t have it screwed on right or tight plus like me you want to overfill it. I find if I make it tight enough and I hold my hand on the top while it’s blending. I don’t have any problems with leakage at all. The funny thing is the first time I used it. I didn’t have it timed enough, and it leaked really bad and went flying everywhere. It was quite comical. I feel like the cup kind of comes loose when the blender starts blending and that’s what causes the leakage but if I hold it in place with my hand, I don’t have that issue at all. And to me it’s well worth doing that rather than trying to use a big container to blend one drink. If I had to do it all over again, I would still make my purchase. However, I wish I could find the model that fits with my newer blender. But everyone knows it has been discontinued and so they wanna charge you an arm and leg for them. I’m just sorry that they discontinued them because I feel like the issues with these attachment is user errors. Because I did it myself the first time I used this one. ... show more

  • Worth every penny!
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
I'm very happy with my Vitamix Cup Adapter! It is very easy to use, makes fantastic smoothies and has very high quality construction and materials. I would suggest carefully following the directions for loading components into the cup because it is different than when using big Vitamix containers and this can make or break your smoothie. While it is expensive, I would say it is worth every penny in terms of its quality, stability and simplification of the smoothie making process. Five stars! ... show more

  • Great for personal smoothies.
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
The reviews of this product are not that great. Many people expressed issues with the cup leaking, the inability to add product once it’s put together, the inability to use the tamper when your product gets stuck, and the overall clunkiness of the product. I read where many people returned the item for these reasons. I really wanted the ability to make personal sized smoothies, and this would make it possible to do. Vitamix has a premium warranty and they stand behind their product. I decided to go ahead and get it knowing that if I had any issues I could just return it. I have made enough smoothies so far to justify the need for having this product and not return it. Initial thoughts: Initially I found my judgment and excitement was clouded by all of the negative reviews that I had read, but that changed as I used the product. The cup adapter is a little tricky to use, but after some trial and error it’s easier. I don’t like the big giant canister around the blade, it’s inconvenient, bulky and gets in the way of cleaning the rubber gasket and threads. I found that using a toothbrush works perfectly. If the cup is not screwed on correctly with the right amount of tightness it will leak. I recommend testing it over your sink in case it decides to leak. Reviewers also stated that the cup would come unscrewed during the blending process and begin to leak, however I have not had that experience. Once you figure out the correct amount of tension, it does not unscrew during the blending process, nor does it leak. Food waste - When the blending is complete, you turn the adapter so the cup is standing upright. This will allow some of the product to drip down into the cup and avoid possible spills when the cup is unscrewed from the adapter. There is still a good amount of product still underneath the blades and due to the design of the adapter it’s impossible to get the product out cleanly. So as far as food waste goes there is still a little bit of wasted product but that’s just me being picky. Milkshakes - I do not recommend making milkshakes in the PCA. The milkshake gets stuck and you have no way of moving the product around because you can’t use a tamper. I like Ascent series PCA better as it doesn’t have the giant canister around the blade, however that item does not fit my 7500 series machine. The instructions state that the cup, lid and the adapter are dishwasher safe. I have not needed to put the cup or the adapter in the dishwasher as I always rinse them out as soon as I’m done and then run the cleaning process on the machine. The lid has been through the wash and came out just fine. What it’s good for: Smoothies Frozen cocktails After some good use of this product, I have found that I really like it. Making personal sized drinks is really fun, and I am enjoying trying new recipes. ... show more

  • Great for smoothies! No more blender cleanup dread
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
Getting this cup adapter set was the best thing that happened to my Vitamix! It gets so much more use now because the cup makes it so convenient to whip up a smoothie. No more dreading the big blender cleanup. I usually put the cups and lids in the dishwasher and hand rinse the adapter, just because the metal parts in the bottom of the adapter can show some rust if left wet (my dishwasher doesn't dry very well). Either way it's very easy to clean. I've been using this daily since I got it. It's a great size for a single smoothie serving, and the lid is secure enough that I feel comfortable throwing it in my bag for my commute to work. Regarding other reviews' complaints about poor sealing and spilling, I haven't experienced any of that. It seals well and does not spill when I open it, but I also make sure not to overfill the cup. It's deceptively small because the bottom of the cup is narrow and frozen fruit chunks don't fit very efficiently. If you don't fill the cup past the screw threads, it will seal properly. In my experience, the appropriate fill level results in a final smoothie volume that fills the cup about 2/3 of the way. ... show more

  • Great for making individual smoothies - if you know how to use it correctly and don't overfill! Great for making individual smoothies - if you know how to use it correctly and don't overfill!
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
I use this to make smoothies and I love this adapter. When making them in the normal blender container I'd always end up making too much and felt like a bunch got wasted by sticking to the container, so this is a great way to make the right amount and not waste any. I was hesitant to get this due to some of the poor reviews, but I quickly realized a lot of the issues are user error. A few tips to make perfect smoothies and not have it leak: * DO NOT OVERFILL THE CONTAINER. The cups have these two indents that run vertically in the cups (likely to help guide the things down to the blade while blending) and you can use them as a guideline. Don't fill the cups past the tops of those -- fill to just below the tops of those indents so you can still see the rounded tops. When you blend, a lot of air gets incorporated into the smoothie, so it ends up with a lot more volume than when you put ingredients into the container. I’ve included pics so you can see how much space this container had at the top before blending and then how full it is after blending. * PUT INGREDIENTS IN THE CORRECT ORDER. Frozen fruit at the bottom, then some greens, then your dry stuff like oats, powders, etc. Then fill with liquid, but again, not all the way to the very top of the cup. * MAKE SURE THE LID/BLADE ATTACHMENT IS ON PROPERLY. I give it a turn or two counterclockwise first to make sure the treads are aligned, and then spin it clockwise to tighten. It should turn with ease and not require much force -- if you need to do anything other than lightly spin it on, the threads probably aren't aligned. Assuming it's sitting on your counter, check to make sure the attachment looks level as well. * BLEND SLOWLY FOR ABOUT 5-7 SECONDS, THEN TURN UP THE SPEED. This gives the blades a chance to "grab" onto stuff. Then turn it up to a high speed. The only thing I don't love about this attachment system is that it is SO LOUD. Much louder than the normal blender containers. * AFTER BLENDING, PUT THE CUP ON THE COUNTER AND WAIT 10 SECONDS BEFORE UNSCREWING. Let gravity do its job and allow the smoothie that's on the blades drip back down into the cup. This also means you're not wasting as much smoothie. So that's how you make a great smoothie and not have it leak. Enjoy! ... show more

  • TERRIBLE! I HATE IT TERRIBLE! I HATE IT
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
Our family of 4 normally uses a personal (1 serving) blender to make each of our protein shakes or smoothies.,, But they all keep breaking, burning out or develop faulty seals. Meanwhile my expensive vitamix sits on my counter un-used for this purpose. I honestly find the very high price for this adapter with 2 cups a deterrent. Is it worth it? well, the quality is definitely very good and what you’d expect of vitamix, but the design will certainly take getting used to. The cups are narrow on the bottom and tall so youre going to need a bottle brush to scrape left over protein powder from the bottom. (Why is it leaving protein powder on the bottom?) Another nuisance is that the adapter has holes on the bottom so in order to clean around the area where the cup screws in (rubber washer/seal) area of the adapter youre going to need that bottle brush again. Because any time you try to rinse that area under the faucet will be futile with the holes in the bottom of the adapter. if you overfill the cup and it leaks through where you screwed it to the adapter, same problem with cleaning. When youre done blending, you must remove the entire bulky adapter with the weird sleeve attached, turn the entire thing upside down and then hold the wide adapter part on the top while trying to twist the narrow bottomed cup underneath to open and detach it. Oof!! just explaining it makes me exhausted and annoyed. Its so bulky and odd. I dont know if I will get used to it enough to keep it. I mean,, really Vitamix??? you couldnt come up with something better? Why not just have the cup screw into the adapter base like every other blender? Why try to reinvent the wheel? The quality of the materials would be enough. Iam so annoyed with this thing.... •UPDATE: Ok, So Im adding a lot of detail in hopes that others can fully understand & someone else doesnt have to deal with this frustration. its almost 3 months later. I really wanted to like this thing but it makes me dread having to use my vitamix for our family’s smoothies every morning!! Because of the sleeve you have maybe 3 inches to grab onto to turn the cup(so not your full hand nor the part of your hand you would need to do this task naturally! try turning something with just your thumb & first 2 fingers!) ), the rubber ring on the adapter doesnt lay flat so the smoothie leaks, the area you screw the cup into holds bacteria and cant be cleaned properly without a brush. I bought 3 different brushes to try to clean this thing. I dont know HOW they approved it through design and quality control. makes me think the Vitamix Brand is not what it used to be. Calling Vitamix directly wont help if you bought this thing here. they wont accept it unless you purchased directly through them. Very disappointing considering how much I paid for this piece of garbage. Guess Ill start researching other brands to buy from for our smoothies. This thing is an impractical, difficult, time consuming nightmare. DONT BUY IT! Believe the negative reviews, not the potential because the brand is Vitamix! ... show more

  • Very Temperamental! Best use for powder & liquid shakes only. Very Temperamental! Best use for powder & liquid shakes only.
Size: 20 fl oz Style: Cup Adapter
Works well in very limited circumstances. I took the advice of another reviewer and I always put an ice cube or two in the cup before any other ingredients, as this (mostly) prevents powders or liquids from hiding out in the base of the cup during blending and not ever touching the blades. Then there's a major problem if you need to blend anything a second time. Omg just don't. You have to clean every last spec of anything off the seal and the rim of the cup or else the cup will literally UNSCREW ITSELF DURING USE if not seated properly. This obviously makes a huge mess and it means you cannot just blend unattended like you can with the pitcher. The power of the Vitamix is so strong in this very limited size cup that it's almost too much. The entire base vibrates around because the cup is so light-weight and the contents are quite often not fully blended due to a very steep cup / poor design. I've learned NOT to include the following ingredients: - Dates: only get cut a few times no matter how long you blend) - Whole nuts: again, only chopped a few times) - Shredded anything: lettuce, kale, carrots, etc. miss the blades completely - Hemp seeds: don't get ground up at all - Frozen banana: again only hits the blades a few times, leaving you with a few sizable chunks So basically, it's best used for ice, some types of frozen berries, powders and liquids. Pretty much anything else is not processed well by / never makes it to the blades. Also, don't overfill the cup or even those few ingredients will fail. DO NOT recommend unless you're using in place of a blender bottle (power & liquid blending only). ... show more
