This is a bad lil dude. I have it reversed in a ported 1cu box and it’s way louder than you would expect. Sounds like a decent 10” sub. I would recommend running it a 4ohms tho because it doesn’t take much at all to make it tap at 1ohm. (By itself.) probably gonna buy one more

I built a sealed .4cf sub box, ran the sub for about 25-30 hours at moderate volume (30 watts) for break-in. When first fired off, it didn't sound that great, but as time progressed, the sound became cleaner and the really low notes got nice and tight. Thumps pretty darn good for a 6.5. I've heard 8s that didn't hit this hard. The sealed box really makes the bass notes nice and tight. I'm currently feeding it only about 100 watts through a Fosi mono sub amp, but being it's right under my feet, I'm not going any higher with the wattage as 40% volume gets uncomfortable. ... show more

    • Beware before using the specified cutout diameter
Style: 6.5” K9 Series 4 Ohm
The specified 6.34 cutout diameter is incorrect. If you cut out this size your speaker will have an eighth of an inch slop all the way around and you will have no wood to screw your screws into. It's more like 6.05. How do I know? I wrapped a wire that is .08 inch diameter around the circumference of the basket where it mounts against the flange. The circumference of that is 19 inches. D=C/3.14. Naturally the .08 diameter wire is .04 radially away from the basket to its Centerline. So the measurement I took will give you .04 of clearance all the way around if you make it 6. 05 diameter. ... show more
