  • Very happy kitten :)
Didn't end up using the toothbrush this came with bc my pet I bought it for was my first kitten! :) I was so worried teaching him to brush his teeth would be an absolute nightmare from Hell... but to my surprise, he absolutely adores the flavor (I got him chicken)! He still squirms away when I try to cut his claws, but every night, I've been brushing his teeth with this and he never runs, not even an attempt at squirming away! Overall, I can't speak for the quality of the brush, but I did rub it with my fingers gently to feel how soft it was, and the slight give to the bristles wasn't bad at all! Easy to gold the brush, and the comfort for me and my kitten looks good to go when he gets older. For now tho, the quality of the toothpaste is top notch, very impressed by this product and will definitely come back for more! ... show more

  • Great Dental Care Kit For Cats
I recently purchased the Virbac C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Kit for my Ragdoll cat, Dusty, and it has been a fantastic addition to our pet care routine. Pros: Chicken Flavor Toothpaste: Dusty absolutely loves the chicken-flavored toothpaste. It makes the brushing process much easier and more enjoyable for both of us. Dual-Sided Toothbrush: The dual-sided toothbrush is perfect for all mouth sizes. It allows me to clean every part of Dusty’s mouth effectively. Complete Kit: The kit includes both a toothbrush and a fingerbrush, providing flexibility depending on what works best for your pet. Cons: Price: It is slightly more expensive compared to other dental care products, but the quality and effectiveness make it worth the investment. Overall, I highly recommend the Virbac C.E.T. Oral Hygiene Kit for any pet owner looking to maintain their pet’s dental health. Dusty’s teeth have never looked better, and he enjoys the process thanks to the tasty toothpaste! ... show more

  • Provides excellent reach for back teeth
I’ve been a dog owner for my entire life (I’m now 57 years old) and if you would have told me 20 years ago that I would be brushing my dog’s teeth on a daily basis, I would have said that you are “nuts.” Brush a dog’s teeth – with toothpaste! Are you kidding me? But I have learned my lesson the hard way. I have a little Dachshund who developed a serious case of periodontal disease. His breath could stick up the whole house, but what’s worse, I was deeply concerned about the pain and suffering gum disease might be causing him. Well, to make a long story short, a trip to the vet and a thorough treatment of his gums and teeth (including the need to pull several) fixed his problem – but it became imperative that he should have his teeth brushed every day to prevent the condition from returning. One immediately discovers that a regular tooth brush just doesn’t do the job right – especially for the little narrow snout of a Dachshund – you need a very thin, small instrument to really get at the teeth and the back teeth. This toothbrush is the right tool for the job. In fact, I think the smaller, narrow end of this brush is a godsend. It makes it possible to really get a thorough cleaning done of all of my dog’s teeth, including the hard-to-reach back teeth. My Dachshund also LOVES the taste of the toothpaste, and this is a huge plus because it makes the whole, tedious process less painful for human and dog alike. But all of this has been a good lesson for me. Oral hygiene is important for your dog, especially when they get older. (My Dachshund is 15 years old!) A dog’s teeth deteriorate like anyone else’s, and it’s important to keep their teeth clean to not just keep their breath fresh, but to keep them free of painful dental conditions that can cause a lot of suffering. So I like this tool and highly recommend it, and strongly urge everyone to pay attention to your pet’s dental health. You want your pet to be comfortable and happy, and that means a mouth that is clean and free of pain or disease. ... show more

  • Yes you can brush a cat's teeth!
With a lot of patience and perseverance you can teach your cat to tolerate having their teeth brushed. Our cat loves the taste of this chicken flavored toothpaste. I put a small dab on my finger for her to lick off before starting to brush her teeth. I then brush the canines and give her another dab to lick. I repeat this process after brushing each side of her mouth ending with a small dab as the final treat and I tell her what a good girl she is. I was able to teach her to let me brush her teeth at age 12 shortly after we adopted her so you can teach an old cat new tricks! I have tried different toothbrushes and I like this one the best but quite frankly, the toothbrush could be improved upon. Because I am brushing the teeth of a cat, I use the smaller end of this double ended toothbrush. However, the smaller end is still too big for my cat's mouth. Our cat wants to chew on the bristles of this toothbrush when I am brushing her molars so the brush itself doesn't last very long. I could probably use 4 or 5 toothbrushes before finishing a tube of toothpaste. I have tried the smaller brush with a short white handle and didn't like it as much as this brush. However, this brush could be improved. ... show more
