The 4K 60FPS recording is the main selling point, and it is useful for capturing license plates, road signs, and details that can matter later. Setup is fairly straightforward, though it does take some time to route the cable cleanly if you want the install to look professional. The camera itself feels well built, and the screen makes it easier to check settings without relying only on an app. Video quality is best during the day, where the extra resolution and frame rate are most noticeable. Impressed and Very Happy! Installed in 2025 Honda CRV EX-L, along with Dongar DCA-8A cable, CP lenses for front and rear cameras: 1) A329S - Straightforward installation, and I used the static sheets for easier removal if it becomes necessary. Works like a charm producing excellent videos with superb resolution and contrast. The iPhone app is a little touchy on setup if you have CarPlay active and want a WiFI connection. RTFM. 2) Dongar DCA-8A cable makes for a very professional and neat installation versus powering via a cig lighter, or running hardwiring thru the pillars and liners. Considering that this is most likely among their most popular cable adapters, I was surprised that Dongar does not yet have an on-line video available ("in progress"). Be sure you hook this into the powered MIRROR connector, as opposed to the exact same blue 8-pin connector that is available in the overhead console -- the console connector will not power the A329S. 3) CP Lenses - The forward facing camera comes with a CP lens attachment, but an optional CP lens must be purchased for the rear lens. The circular polarizing (CP) lens covers are VERY effective at reducing glare, and optimizing contrast. I would strongly recommend it. Bottom Line: I am VERY happy with the ease of installation, operation, and high quality of the video.

Permanent installation with the hardware kit was made easy by including all 4 types of OEM fuse taps. Took about 2.5 hours to install and set up, one hour of which was just being a perfectionist about routing and hiding the wires I ran through the A and C pillars. Their choice of wire to interconnect the rear camera was great- it's flexible enough to bend tight corners, but stiff enough to not be easily pinched. Coax connector clicks into a good solid connection. Video quality is good. I'm opting not to install or try the complementary smartphone app. I shot a few test videos, ejected the microSD card, and found that the .mp4 files played reliably in both windows media player and the VLC video app. This method is ideal for me. A newly bought SanDisk ultra 256GB microSD seems to work fine in it so far. The user interface on the unit is pretty well thought out, I didn't need to read the instructions for anything except: To verify that the yellow hard wire is indeed the acc wire, red is permanent 12v... To learn that you have to long press the remote button accessory 5s to get it to pair with the main unit... To gain faith in how unreasonably hard you have to twist the rear camera mount to vertically aim it right. I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy this exact same one again if wifey or daughter wanted to get one. Update: as an added bonus, there's just enough vampire drain on the battery that the engine start stop feature rarely kicks in. Usually only occurs after 20 minutes of driving. I like this.

This is an amazing dashcam with lots of awesome features! I would have given it 5 stars but the GPS module/mount for the front camera died one day after the Amazon return window closed. I contacted support and they were really quick to get back to me and start a ticket to send me a new GPS module. Warranty is 2 years if you register. Also the GPS module is available to order separately here on Amazon for cheap so I ordered an extra one to have on hand. I decided to order the inner fish eye camera to go along with this (on VIOFO's website after the fact) so I now have 3 channels recording. I wish I had ordered the 3 channel kit to begin with but I didn't think I would want the cabin camera but it really helps to cover everything happening around the car especially if I get t-boned. I ordered the HK-6 hard wire kit to take advantage of the GEO Fence parked recording. This allows you to set up to 3 different GPS zones where you don't need the parked recording. In my case it is at home and at work since we have plenty of security cameras in both locations. Also ordered the Bluetooth remote control which is an awesome accessory for quickly locking an event that I want to save plus it has two other programmable buttons for almost everything you can think of. The only other thing I ordered extra is the CPL filter for the back camera and a VIOFO 256k microSD card. The kit comes with the CPL filter for the front camera (pay attention to the orientation of the lens filter when you install it). I'm using the HDR setting (4K@30 fps) because it does a better job of capturing the license tags than the 4k@60 fps especially at night. I'm also recording 2 minute files rather than the default one minute. I figure 2 minutes should be a wide enough loop to cover most everything that happens. The WiFi is very fast so downloading files to my iPhone is quick. Overall, the video quality of the front camera is the best I have ever seen for a dashcam. I highly recommend it!

Somewhat pricey, but very happy with the purchase. Installation was straightforward. The interface on the camera greatly simplified the configuration. The Viofo app installed and connected to the camera without incident. Overall, very satisfied. Video is really clear as is cabin audio. I've had literally no problems with the unit. It's been installed in my vehicle for about 3 months. I'd definitely recommend the two or three channel unit if you have the extra money to spend. Notes below. My wife purchased the 3-channel version, with a SanDisk memory card, but had some issues, which Viofo rectified in short order. It was related to the memory card, even though the SanDisk that she purchased was designed for high-performance video. As such, I made sure to purchase the Viofo-branded memory card and the bluetooth-connected button that allows for easier photos and video protection. I strongly recommend the optional hardware installation kit, that has connectors for various fuse block designs. It makes the installation much easier and you don't have to jury-rig connections.

This dash cam is excellent—and it should be because it's pricey. I keep seeing reviews every year for the best dashcam and STILL the Viofo's win out. Video quality is excellent. Haven't used WiFi much but it seems to be fine. The A329 has a lot of functionality. Installing the hardwire kit (HK6 sold separately) was easy. There's plenty of cable whether you're installing hardwired or using a cigarette lighter/12V power port. My ONLY complaint is that my headlights seem to blow out the tag of the car in front of me a night, but maybe if I used the HDR setting it might not. Unfortunately, I'd rather have 60fps as you're more likely to catch something not blurry and most of my driving is during the day. I have seen reviews where that's not an issue. I think it's just due to the angles of my headlights and where I have the camera mounted. I'm more worried about people hitting me than me hitting them, so it's not a huge issue to me.

I have captured so many outrageous situations and things on my cameras. This is one of the only cameras I'm able to use at night without an issue. Very clear images, high quality. I love the ease of the app and how easy it is to pull footage. It tucks away very discreetly, it's easy to adjust the settings on it.
