Stiffeners can be sold and packed separately and are already preloaded into fittings for convenience as using PEX tubing is increasingly common. However, you don't have to take them out off fittings when using copper or CPVC. Make sure it have a clean and square cut with a cutter. Tips: If you are on copper pipe, we further advise to ream the inside to reduce the roughness. Use deburring tool shown on the picture to ream the end of the pipe first and mark insertion depth on the pipe then. Push both ends into the fitting until the depth line covered (1/2" @ 29/32" or 23 mm). If pipe is not fully inserted, it will leave room for leakage. Complete connection. Tips: Please conduct the water leak test before you finish the behind-the-wall application. Position the disconnect clip next to the end. Press firmly the disconnect clip against the collar of the end. Pull the pipe out of the fitting with a twisting action. Complete disconnection. Connect to a separate faucet for purified water. Provides fastest and cost-effective way for your bathroom installing, remodeling or repairing.
