There are a ton of baby monitors and it's hard to tell what is good or not. Went ahead with this one because reviews were decent and it came with two cameras. Out of the box, the cameras were paired and worked fine. You have to plug the battery in yourself. At first I didn't have the connection all the way in, so when I unplugged the monitor it turned off immediately. But once I opened it back up and made sure the battery wire was pushed in all the way it worked fine. Range is surprisingly good. The monitor is on the second floor of the house on one end. Anywhere I go even outside in the opposite end of the house I still have full signal. Picture quality is fine even in the dark. Not expecting 4k or anything! Not sure on battery life. It's plugged in most of the time. But when I do carry it around I haven't even used one bar of battery. Only real downside is the camera lens. It's really zoomed in so the camera needs to be far away and doesn't have much field of view. It's really bad compared to a Nest camera. It can switch between the two cameras automatically and audio switches too. Monitor shows temperature and sound volume. ... show more

I found out later via customer questions and answers, so it is my fault for not knowing, but the monitor goes to sleep and you can't change that setting. It is programmed like that, period. There are VOX levels you can adjust so it turns on with any sound, but I personally can't stand that the screen turns off, even when connected to a powersource ... show more

Makes life a lot easier able to see baby when and wherever I need to in the house. You can’t go too far outside with the monitor as it will cut off. But overall love!

Great up until the last few months. Monitor will not work unless plugged in. Even if it says it’s fully charged the moment you unplug it it’s dead and won’t turn on.

This is the third baby monitor we've had to get in less than two years. It is absolutely perfect. It's simple, high-quality and a great price as we needed a second camera for our new addition on the way. No unecessary features, just exactly what you need. No music that will freak your baby out, no dumb lights that accidentally turn on. It's straightforward, doesn't need an app, has a great battery life and works flawlessly. My only improvement would be to have one button that cycles through the cameras if you press it more than once. The camera cycling is still easy to use regardless. I recommend this to every parent. We ordered these cameras in a hurry due to our toddler breaking the screen to the system we had before this. It was a good price point, in my opinion. The camera quality is nice, night vison is also great. I do like the VOE future, helps the battery life last longer through out the night. Volume is very loud when baby cries, beware you do not need the volume up all the way on this one. LOL. I did also like that any sort of sound detected it will light up the screen. One thing I am not pleased with, is the cameras are "manual". You will have to turn and position it yourself, there is not a button to move the lenses around from the monitor. ... show more

Pros: night vision is great. The monitor “rests” to conserve battery but turns on when it hears baby crying. If you want to avoid the “rest” feature just leave the monitor plugged in. Two cameras for two kids (in the same room). Cons: screen entered semi-permanent rest after 4 months of continuous use. Thankfully warranty replacement is on the way. Also, I have a sound machine on in my baby’s room so the monitor is always “triggered” into the “on” position which kills the battery if not plugged in. Overall, I like it. I haven’t used any other monitors so nothing to compare to, but this one works for my needs. ... show more
