This unique bistro set is absolutely adorable!! Fits perfect on my apartment balcony!! Solid and not flimsy at all. The seats require 16-17 inch cushions if you choose to use them. The item arrived on time and undamaged. Packaged very well. I think it took me longer to unpackage than it to assemble...lol! Assembly took no time and the pieces are marked as to which goes where and there are instructions...very simple. Screws use an Allen wrench which is also provided. While this product misses the mark in craftsmanship and manufacturing methods to a level, I can’t help but love it! The good, the bad, and the ugly… The good… it’s as adorable in person as it appears in the Amazon listing. Although it has small pieces for a patio set, the chairs easily fit me as a bit hefty 6’ man. While I’ve built furniture from walnut, cherry, and mahogany, this is my first time working with teak. I was delighted with the quality of the wood, and mostly impressed with the joinery (some screw heads were thinly veiled behind wood filler). The construction of the legs is very solid with the egg-crate type joints, with very high quality fasteners. The bad… attachment of the decorative basket in the center of the table leaves a lot to be desired. It’s supposed to be attached with a single screw from the basket, though the first leg frame, into the second leg frame. Firstly, the screw hole was missing in the first leg frame, secondly the screw isn’t long enough to pass through the basket bottom board and into both leg frames (see pic), lastly no glue is called for in the construction, so a single screw would fail in short order! I drilled the missing hole, used an appropriate length screw, and glued the joint. The ugly… While most of the joinery was solid and looked very nice, there were several sander dings, crumby looking application of wood filler, splits in the wood, and mismatched leg lengths. I was able to sand out the dings, belt-sand the ends of the longest legs to make them match, and patch things up to my satisfaction. What I did beyond the instructions to make them as nice as could be… glued all joints, sanded the finished assemblies, applied two coats of Semco Teak Sealer, and tacked on leg ends to the chairs and table. I’m very proud of this adorable teak patio set, and recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind putting in a little extra during assembly. ... show more
