This is my first foray into the MPPT solar world, and it was a great start without compromising quality, or having enourmous expense up front. I've had this controller for about a year now, and I'm quite happy with it's performance. It has certainly made a large difference in the amount of energy I'm able to harvest from my tiny 30W panel, especially at lower charge voltages. So maybe I didn't read the description or manual closely enough, but I didn't realize you need a Bluetooth dongle to address the unit and do any configuration. That's another $50. I was willing to pay a premium for MPPT over PWM, but an additional $50 crossed my limit. I returned it. Visually, the unit appears to be well constructed. Based on other reviews I have no doubt it would have worked well. They have other units with built in Bluetooth. That makes a lot more sense. ... show more

I didn’t like I needed to purchase a Bluetooth dongle, but once I did, I could go without it. The metrics are held in this device and Bluetooth for communication only. I saw historical charges as soon as hooked up the MPPT, but did the Bluetooth 5 days later. No data loss.

I purchased this to replace a cheap Chinese PWM charge controller and expected greater efficiency. I got none. Not work the money.

I tested several panels with this and I always get about one watt output. I contacted the manufacturer and got no response. The app is nice though. Lol

Be careful with returns. They will not refund you a full amount if you have used it. I upgraded to a 100/75 And they charged a restocking fee of 50 percent. The reasoning for the restocking fee was missing packaging material(manual?), jumper pin, I had tape over the blinking light and velcrod the Bluetooth unit to the face of the charge controller. All of which I would value at $1 but it cost me $75. Great product, horrible customer service. From their email explaining their reason for the restocking fee, it sounded like English was not their native language with many spelling and grammer errors. He/she did not provide their name ending the email either. I truly believe that this product is amazing and wish their customer service was on the same level, but it seems to me that money > customer satisfaction. If I had known I would have just kept it or not bought a new one at all. ... show more
