This ruler packs a lot of info into a small space without seeming cramped and it lives up to the claim of being easy to read. The colors make it easy to focus on just inches or just metric. On the inches side, it's awesome that they managed to squeeze in the numbers for the 16ths - this makes it a lot easier for me to avoid mistakes. (There's even one inch at the end that's numbered in 32nds.) Also, because the numbers grow in size with the larger fraction, it makes it easier to pick out just how accurate you want to measure. The white isn't especially bright but the matte finish help to remove reflections. The plastic itself is fairly stiff and can be bent about 1.5". The only real drawback is that like most plastic rulers, it doesn't start at 0", so you have to line everything up with the 0 mark. On the metal ruler, it starts at 0 but the edges are a bit sharp (easy fix with a file). Also, the metal ruler has cork on the bottom which lifts the metal ruler about 1mm off the item being measure which could introduce some marking errors. ... show more
