I started wood working with three finish sanders that just vibrate back and forth and don’t spin. This is so much better. I love the separate power button, the variable speed function and the fact that now I have dust collection! The price was acceptable, too. I've had this sander for a while now and I have put it through some work at this point. This is a big upgrade from your average palm sander. If you spend the money on a Festool version, I'm sure it's well worth it. Those tools have a cult following for a reason. That said, I spent a fraction of that cost on this product and the performance has been a game changer to say the least. Way faster material removal, far less hand fatigue, and the dust collection is amazing. 10 out of 10 would buy again. If you are on the fence and hesitant to pull the trigger, just do it. I actually got this to use to sand drywall patches. My only complaint with this is it needs a better dust collection hose with more flexibility and an easier size to find an adapter for a shop vac hose.

I was hesitant to purchase this sander until I saw a review from an influencer on YouTube. This is a great sander, especially for the money. I have not used a Festool sander, but I can't imagine it being much better if any. I use this sander three to five days a week, sometimes most of the day, and it has held steady.
