The reel seems to be pretty good value for the money, can’t really beat the price. The build quality seems to be good I just mounted it yesterday so I have not been able to try it yet but it doesn’t seem like it’s going to break but only time will tell. The smoothness of the reel seems to be good especially for the price. It is a bigger reel I would say it’s definitely a catfish reel because it’s bigger than what the picture looks, the speed of the reel seems good it’s I believe a 5 to 1 gear ratio which seems to be good but like I said only time will tell. As of right now I would recommend to others just by going off of what I feel with the reel and as of right now I’m happy with the reel and would buy it again. ... show more

Reel feels like good quality, all pieces and parts work properly, it is a bit heavier than i expected it to be but overall its worth the price youre paying. i got it lined up with some 4lb braided line and that fills it up pretty good at 150-160 yards.
