    • Great tool
I bought this DEWALT 20V MAX Belt Sander for a challenging stair refinishing project, and it performed exceptionally well. It’s incredibly powerful, and made a tough job much easier. The cordless design was a plus on the stairs, but it does make the tool a little heavy when on awkward angles. The tool feels solid and well-built. Highly recommend! ... show more

    • Strong
Good, solid piece of equipment. Very strong and definitely gets the job done. Easy to use and move with. You’ll need some extra batteries, especially when using a heavy grit.

    • Another De Walt Quality Tool.
Most (95%) of my hand tools are made by Dewalt and this unit replaced a cord and plug connected belt sander (not a De Walt) that I overheated to the point where it is unusable. I have not used this new De walt belt sander much, but the little that I have used this unit, and not having a cord is wonderful and operates smoothly and while I have been told that it eats batteries, I really don't care because I have plenty of Dewalt batteries in my workshop. So, in my opinion, this is a wonderful unit that is made well and was worth the money and it operates very quietly. ... show more

    • Powerful but uses up battery quickly
Like all of the 20v dewalt tools this is excellent. Two things you should be aware of. 1. it is very powerful so when you pull the trigger you need to be prepared or it will just run away from you. 2. It goes through batteries very quickly.

    • Cordless belt sander in my studio
Exactly what I needed for my small home studio. I bought this because my wired sander kept snagging on tripod legs and light stands while i’m working on plywood display boards for clients. The variable speed is great. I drop it low when I’m easing edges on birch ply, then crank it up to chew through paint on an old desk. The dust bag works ok, but it fills fast and leaks a bit if I forget to seat it firmly. Battery life on a 5Ah pack is decent for a few boards, then I have to swap. Weight feels good in hand, just a bit nose heavy when I’m working overhead. ... show more

    • This is the 3rd belt sander I bought, gave away the other 2 and kept only this one!
I had two older belt sanders, both corded and the same 6" belt, but always had problems with the cord getting in the way and have several electric tape fixes on the cords. Wanted a powerful belt sander for sanding down the wood siding our our roof deck (Lion wood), to re-seal it with IPE oil (made a mistake and used Spar Varnish and it just peeled off). This tool worked great, I have several DeWalt batteries so as one ran out could just swap it out for another 20v battery and keep on going. Only bad thing is it's heavy, so working on a flat surface is easy, but holding it up on the wall was a bit tough, but liked the dust bag, caught most of the dust I created (still ware a mask), but easy to empty and good capasity. I like the tool, would recommend it especially if you have other DeWalt battery tools! (I have 3 DeWalt drills, and cordless saw). ... show more

    • Black and yellow
This belt sander has a ton of power used to sand the edges of hardwood floors hundreds better than tripping over cords and a fraction of the price of a floor edger definitely recommend

    • Cordless but impressive.
Like this belt sander. was skeptical of a cordless belt sander but this is great for those times in the field when scribing. I use a DeWalt to Makita battery adapter as I'm a Makita guy. But DeWalt has a winner here.
