I have this palm tree in the front of the house that always needs its lower branches cut once they die back. Over the years the tree has gotten so big my original pole cutter just can't reach the height anymore. I can across this Vevor 27ft pole tree pruner set and pulled the trigger and purchased it. I am so glad I did. First off, I really like the way the poles screw together as well as clip in, they are very secure and stable. I only needed all but 2 of the extenders so I have some room to grow with this Palm tree. I really like the large steel blade. It's sharp and cuts fast and smooth. I haven't used the scissor blade assembly for much yet but did install on the pole and cut a few branches to try it out. Everything about this system works great. I really like the ease of use, the adjustability of the size of the pole so you have a ton of length options, and the versatility of the blade selection. The large blade does come with a protective cover, and the poles and blades all fit in the included canvas bag which is really nice. If you are in the market for an extra-long tree pruner this is the one to get. I highly recommend!!!

Work really good. You Must go slow and let the blade do the cutting but it work really well even at 27 feet. The fiberglass is kinda flimsy but if your carefull it will cut 8 inch limbs. Great item for the DIY, saved me hundreds from an arborist costs. Highly recommend this item. Ohh get the prunner for 20.00 more , my bad didnt get that.

Purchased specifically for two wind damaged branches overhanging my driveway. Both branches dead but still hanging on, swaying back and forth when windy, a risk to anything and anyone underneath. Both were about 18-20 feet high. One was about 4" thick, the other about 1.5"-2.0". The 4" branch took about 3-4 minutes of continuous sawing to take down. I stopped a few times given that the muscles needed to do this aren't what they used to be, somewhat tiring if you're not used to it. The other branch was more difficult to take down given that where I needed to saw was about midway down the branch. Difficult to saw due to branch movement when sawing. I finally got to a point where the pruner attachment would work, used it to finish the job. Having a commercial outfit roll a truck to my house would have been $100-$200 - at least. On that basis alone, this pole trimmer resulted in some savings and will likely provide more if/when I need it again. What this isn't is a pro tool. Commercial/pro tools are often sturdier, won't flex as much when in use, a bit faster and easier to use for this reason. The blades are often higher quality parts that can result in faster cuts. Commercial tools are also significantly more expensive. For occasional residential use, this one is probably going to be good enough for most. It came with a decent quality storage bag, the sections screwed together easily and precisely, firmly locked in place with spring loaded plungers. Two extra blades, three total - one of the same style preinstalled at the factory and another smaller blade that's probably better at getting into tighter spaces. It also comes with a pruner attachment. I'd recommend taking a picture of the pruner's pulley system immediately after unpacking. When the cord inevitably breaks and possibly comes out of the pulley system, you'll know how to route replacement cord. When that becomes necessary, I'd recommend mil-spec paracord from a *reputable* manufacturer. The pulley system is definitely value added, allows for more power when making cuts. I didn't use the provided grip handle. Instead and with mechanics gloves on, I did two wraps around my hand, pulled from there. Safety suggestions: always wear safety glasses when using this. Saw dust and other debris may rain on you when using this. It did in my case. And NEVER take your eyes off the branch before moving well out of where it will likely fall. Where it falls can be unpredictable. In my case, I estimated that the larger branch would fall directly downward but it took a swing on the way down and landed about 6ft from where I thought it would. It happened fast too, no time to move out of the way. Happy customer, recommended product.

Review of 27ft vevor pole saw. Pros: Just used it once but impressed. I didn't think it would reach but it did! Insanely long. And it has quite a bit of flex to it but it's seems very strong. Had a branch fall on it while pruning but it did not damage the pole. A little tricky to keep the saw in one spot to cut but to be expected and doable once you get the hang of it. If fully put together it really takes two people to raise it, one braces the handle end and lifts while the other person walks the saw end up till the pole is vertical. You need good upper body strength to use in full extension and can only do so much at a time. But much easier and safer than the alternative of climbing and way, way, cheaper than paying an arborist. Cons: All of the holes that the locking spring loaded pins were supposed to fit into were slightly off, so I used a stout knife and widened one side of the holes so that the spring pins would click into place. Wear gloves because of fiberglass shards. It took about 10-15 minutes to fix them all. Manufacturers defect, they were all out of alignment in exactly the same way. I was out of return window, even if I was in return window it was such a quick fix that I would not have returned it anyway. Rubber end handle slid off, slides right back on though, might glue it on. I didn't use the the lopper part yet but consider it a bonus, as primarily got it for the saw. At under 100$ I am still very happy with it, and willing to forgive its fixable flaws, and still think it deserves 5 stars. I looked at a lot of other extendable pole saws and read a ton of reviews and this one stood out because : 1. it has fiberglass pole instead of aluminum which is more prone to bending. 2. The sections lock securely into place so it cannot collapse, absolutely crucial for proper functioning. 3. If a section of this were to break, you could just remove that section and still have a functional but shorter pole. (Come to think of it... You could theoretically make a even longer pole if you bought two of these) though I would add a couple ropes near the top with two people at different angles to help stabilize, and would add or lower one section at a time... use caution you didn't get this idea from me... lol 4. Compact, easy to but in back or car or golf cart to transport. 5. I plan on adding removable fruit picker basket to end, should be easy. Very happy with this multifunctional addition to the farm's pruning arsenal.

I used it for the first time today. I have a bunch of honey locust trees that I need to cut down. With those trees it's best to remove as many branches as possible before felling them. Well in my opinion. I didn't need all 27 feet but it was sturdy with 5 or 6 pole pieces attached. It can get wobbly but that's caused by accidentally loosening the pieces while sawing. If you tighten them back up it will be sturdy again. The blade is sharp and you don't need to apply pressure when sawing. Just move the saw back and forth. It will do the cutting. The blade is flexible not flimsy. I haven't used the trimming attachment yet. The saw and pole piece are easy to assemble though. It is not heavy at all. I borrowed a pole saw from a friend who has a tree service. His saw cost like $400-$500. I swear, it is no better than this pole saw by vevor. UPDATE: I finally used the full length. It does get pretty flimsy and hard to manage. A telescoping pole would be better.

I had a 16ft tree pruner. It was NOT tall enough to reach my 30 foot tall queen palms which had seed pods that were dropping kernels all over my pool deck and hot tub, so I looked for a longer saw. I saw the VEVOR and CLOSELY watched the video, that showed a normal sized adult male holding the pole saw upright. It BARELY bent AT ALL in the video. I was duped into thinking that this 27 foot pruner would be rigid, sturdy, and capable of reaching my 30 ft tall palms to cut the seed pods off. While the packaging was adequate and initial assembly was not a problem, interlocking all the segments together, the pole had very little rigidity Whatsoever. I'm 6ft tall, with broad shoulders and a muscular build. I'm Not a little guy, and I drum and power lift and do most of my own yard work, so I figured "how hard could it be to use this VEVOR pole saw?" It was nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Just LOOK at page 7 of the instruction manual, showing a human figure holding the saw, as it EXTENDS 6 feet INTO THE GROUND beside him!! "Pick it up from the middle" it says... well, if I was naturally 12 or 15 feet tall, that would have been Easy. I fetched my 10 foot ladder, and climbed 1/2 way up it, and still struggled to get the 27 foot pole saw vertical, along side the palm tree trunk. As an engineer for more than 30 years, I realized the moment arm of this 27 foot pole saw was centered a good 7 feet over my head, and trying to Resist That Torque with my legs, shoulders, and lower back, while some 8 feet off the ground on a 10 foot ladder was far too much strain for my back and legs to handle. The pole EASILY BENT in a long arc, FAR FAR more than the misleading video on Amazon showed it might bend. The 27 foot pole was unwieldy, wiggly, unstable, and bent like a wet noodle. While I was able to cut off 2 of the 4 seed pods with incredible exertion, I was too exhausted to try the remaining two seed pods, and I declared the easily bent, unstable, wiggling 27 foot "minimal viable product" calling itself a pole saw from VEVOR a total disaster and waste of money. My next door neighbor who watched me from his window said my struggle with the useless saw was quite amusing, when I spoke to him afterwards. The only viable way this 27 ft pruner MIGHT work is if 3 grown men worked in unison, with the strongest one holding the base of the 27 ft foot poll and 2 other men coordinated with 15 ft long "guide poles" with a "Y" yoke or a 1/2 circular upper end that they would BOTH use in concert to steady and guide the pole into position, keeping it from bending and FALLING to the GROUND as the strongest man moved the pole up and down in a sawing motion while his two helpers did their best to steady the wet noddle more than 1/2 way up the tree. It usually costs me about $200 a tree to hire a company with young men who climb with spikes and trim my palms with chainsaws that they let dangle from their belts on the way up. I stupidly thought this $100 VEVOR product would make that unnecessary. How wrong I was! Don't be fooled like I was. This pole saw won't stay usably rigid past about 16 ft. Maybe in the misleading video, they filled the insides of the interconnecting hollow tubes with one 25 foot carbon fiber rod that substantially increased its moment of inertia and kept it from bending? Mine was a wiggly wet noodle. Don't waste your money, or hurt your back like I did.

Nice and light no heavy pole chain saws that can even get close to that reach. Still expect a work out like going to a gym. Hate climbing up 16 feet into a tree and holding a chain saw with two hands. Just not enough hands to be safe up there even if you strap yourself down including the ladder. Life is too short to reduce your life span . Sometimes we don’t want to cut the whole tree down which can be the easiest at the base. A Tree close to a house needs extra safety rules. The pole saw worked well but still one must calculate how to cut the angle of the branches or tree trunk. Please see video and Don’t listen to what I say, this is just my limited experience. Every tree cutting experience varies. The ease of adjustment of the pole is ingenious. Good design. Just keep the pole as short as you can and wear a helmet if working directly under the tree. The job can be intimidating at time’s so take your time and don’t take any risks. Calculate the wind or best wait when there is no heavy wind. You learn as you go along for your particular job. I was working alone but a second trustworthy helper might add more security. The saw blade cuts nicely and stays put. The Clippers work nice too but do not recommend to go over 5/8” inches of clipping. Stick below 1/2 inch with the clippers. Alright, please make this endeavor a rewarding one. One more thing. On the video you should run with the rope away from the house as you break the tree trunk off way before it hits the ground . Don’t wrap the rope around your arm or fingers.
