  • Superior product at a great price
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
This is an excellent tool that is well designed, sturdy and a huge value for the price. VERY superior to the Fiskars product I had previously which broke while I was using it. Less expensive and longer extension as well. I used both the primary saw and the cutting tool to make short work of some silver maple trees that were over my back deck and roof. Saw blades are well designed to stay on the branch while sawing with curved ends. They have good instructions, extra blade options and a nice carrying bag. ... show more

  • Very happy! I researched throughly before buying.
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
Review of 27ft vevor pole saw. Pros: Just used it once but impressed. I didn't think it would reach but it did! Insanely long. And it has quite a bit of flex to it but it's seems very strong. Had a branch fall on it while pruning but it did not damage the pole. A little tricky to keep the saw in one spot to cut but to be expected and doable once you get the hang of it. If fully put together it really takes two people to raise it, one braces the handle end and lifts while the other person walks the saw end up till the pole is vertical. You need good upper body strength to use in full extension and can only do so much at a time. But much easier and safer than the alternative of climbing and way, way, cheaper than paying an arborist. Cons: All of the holes that the locking spring loaded pins were supposed to fit into were slightly off, so I used a stout knife and widened one side of the holes so that the spring pins would click into place. Wear gloves because of fiberglass shards. It took about 10-15 minutes to fix them all. Manufacturers defect, they were all out of alignment in exactly the same way. I was out of return window, even if I was in return window it was such a quick fix that I would not have returned it anyway. Rubber end handle slid off, slides right back on though, might glue it on. I didn't use the the lopper part yet but consider it a bonus, as primarily got it for the saw. At under 100$ I am still very happy with it, and willing to forgive its fixable flaws, and still think it deserves 5 stars. I looked at a lot of other extendable pole saws and read a ton of reviews and this one stood out because : 1. it has fiberglass pole instead of aluminum which is more prone to bending. 2. The sections lock securely into place so it cannot collapse, absolutely crucial for proper functioning. 3. If a section of this were to break, you could just remove that section and still have a functional but shorter pole. (Come to think of it... You could theoretically make a even longer pole if you bought two of these) though I would add a couple ropes near the top with two people at different angles to help stabilize, and would add or lower one section at a time... use caution you didn't get this idea from me... lol 4. Compact, easy to but in back or car or golf cart to transport. 5. I plan on adding removable fruit picker basket to end, should be easy. Very happy with this multifunctional addition to the farm's pruning arsenal. ... show more

  • Heavy but very good .
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
This is unbelievable. I waited 3 weeks for this item . I received it without the Scissors. I need them for project im doing. I contact Amazon and it only gives me option to return item. It will take too long to get replacement. I will use the cutter dor now. I need is Scissors to be shipped separately. Dont buy this item cause it looks like they will sell u the lower option without the Scissors. when using the 27 foot pole, is too flimsy and heavy. Changed review due to Amazon taking care of issue and i was able to use the saw and now give it after use review. The 27 foot pole is nice but way to heavy. I have used it full extensions but my back is now paying the price. It does cut like butter. Also very durable. I wish they would have sent me the Scissors, but Amazon took care of situation and I ordered Scissors attachment from another company. ... show more

  • Good tool for a DYI h
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
This works as advertised if you can hold the pole upright. The saws are very sharp and the fiberglass poles are strong enough to do the.job. The price is right for an occasional tool.

  • Absolutely fabulous, with a few quirks.
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
For the price, this is just a fabulous piece of equipment. I have only used the standalone saw, not the saw/clipper. I have made over 100 cuts with the saw on branches up to about 5" thick (heavy branches get cut in segments) I've been using pole saws (manual like this and electric pole chainsaws) for many years, along with pole clippers. This saw cuts fast and clean. I LOVE the hook at the end of the blade to keep you from slipping out of the cut! That's been a frustration with prior saws. I can reach and control so much farther than I could before. I have used this both from the ground and from a ladder* and I love having modular pole extensions. Best and fastest manual pole saw I have ever used. Okay, onto the quirks: There was loose fiberglass dust/fibers inside the poles. If I'd known that I would have blown out all of the poles first instead of later. When using more than 4 pole segments it gets noticeably wobbly and more delicate to control. Also heavier, of course. Have not used the longest or second-longest configuration. I believe it would still be usable. The button locking mechanism for the pole segments can be finicky. I'm going to try using silicone lube. *Not recommending anyone else work from a ladder. Be careful about ladders, kids - I have lots of professional and personal experience climbing and working at heights. ... show more
