  • Absolutely fabulous, with a few quirks.
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
For the price, this is just a fabulous piece of equipment. I have only used the standalone saw, not the saw/clipper. I have made over 100 cuts with the saw on branches up to about 5" thick (heavy branches get cut in segments) I've been using pole saws (manual like this and electric pole chainsaws) for many years, along with pole clippers. This saw cuts fast and clean. I LOVE the hook at the end of the blade to keep you from slipping out of the cut! That's been a frustration with prior saws. I can reach and control so much farther than I could before. I have used this both from the ground and from a ladder* and I love having modular pole extensions. Best and fastest manual pole saw I have ever used. Okay, onto the quirks: There was loose fiberglass dust/fibers inside the poles. If I'd known that I would have blown out all of the poles first instead of later. When using more than 4 pole segments it gets noticeably wobbly and more delicate to control. Also heavier, of course. Have not used the longest or second-longest configuration. I believe it would still be usable. The button locking mechanism for the pole segments can be finicky. I'm going to try using silicone lube. *Not recommending anyone else work from a ladder. Be careful about ladders, kids - I have lots of professional and personal experience climbing and working at heights. ... show more

  • will save you hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
$100 to save multiples in the future. only issues i’ve had is losing a couple screws/bolts due to slamming around/falling, but easily replaced. then there are little pins in each of the rods that keep wiggling their way out. those could use some sort of cap, but again, very minor issue. combined with a rope saw, i was able to take down a 50ft hackberry without having to climb a single foot of it, and safely away from the falling branches. had to use a 4ft on 6ft ladder for the highest couple with ease. wouldn’t mind if they could send an extra set of all the screws, but no worries if not. ... show more

  • I used it to cut a 10 inch live oak branch about 24 ft off the ground.
Size: 7.3-27 ft
2 issues with the saw. 1) When you screw the last part together, there are these ultra tiny sharp splinters of steel that embed into the skin on your hands. so small they are just about invisible. So I keep using a section of duct tape to pull the splinters out of my skin before they dig too deep. 2) The saw is wobbly. the problem is the plastic plug that the wingnut affixes to or through. the plug has a shim in there, and it is not thick enough to prevent wobble. I took it apart and made a single wrap of duct tape around the plastic plug, then put the shim back on, then screwed it all together. No more wobble. Not sure how long the fix will last, but it seems pretty secure now. There is a second hole for another fastener that was not used. Perhaps it should be. Anyway, I got the 1 branch that down that was threatening the roofline of my house, so it did the job. ... show more

  • Great tool
Size: 7.3-27 ft
This tool is brilliant. Reasonably priced, well engineered, good quality materials. I took down dead limbs I’ve been looking at for years in a few hours. The saw cuts very effectively. The stops on each end of the saw blade keep the saw in place, and also can pull a limb down with a tug once you hook the limb. Exactly what I needed. Nice canvas container to hold the tool once disassembled. Comes with two blades, and a plastic sheath for the one being used. ... show more

  • Will probably save you $$$
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
Will probably save you from calling a tree trimming service. Is this a great tool for a professional landscaper? Probably not. Will it last forever? Probably not. Is it easy to use? Surprisingly yes at medium extension, but you better be strong if you plan to add the last 2-3 rods. You will save $$$ trying this before calling a tree trimming service. ... show more

  • Works Great
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
I wasn't expecting this pruner to work so well! My husband needed it to trim some high branches away from the house. He said that the assembly was a little tricky, but he figured it out well enough. The pruner cut through every branch like butter. The more extensions you add (the higher it gets), the more it becomes a bit of a two-person job, as it's difficult to hold the pole and pull the rope. I assisted him on the higher branches, and it was not difficult to operate the rope at all. I was very impressed with how easy it was to prune the branches! ... show more

  • Fantastic tool!
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
This thing is amazing! Easy to use, and addictive once I started. I don't have much upper body strength, but luckily was on my 2nd floor deck trimming the tree from there--I didn't have to use the last 3 extensions. But, manipulating it to an upright position gave my core a workout too, when it was at its longest. Patience and caution needed, but this was just the tool I needed to get the job done. Five Stars for Vevor! ... show more

  • Good and bad
Size: 7.3-27 ft with Scissors
It will do the job if your strong enough to lift and use it at full length, which is the main reason most buy this. The handles look tough enough to last but the saw itself is very cheap and I don't think will be good for average user with several medium limbs to cut.
