The directions were pretty vague but I was able to piece the info together for programing. The door closes very very slowly (no animal decapitation like the other review mentions). The laser sensor works very well. We did install ours "inside out" because we have a overhang roof just outside the door but plan to move the gray electrical box to the outside so the light senors could work. The remotes do take a weird type battery. The door did come with a little bit of rust and bolts/ rivets were missing but we had some on hand so it wasn't a huge deal. But overall I like how many features this one had compared to others and will be keeping it. ... show more

    • Chicken door motor is wired backwards
My door open/close motor was wired backwards. It opens at night and closes during the day. The up button on the remote causes the door to close. Probably a good product but mine came with a bad part. I am contacting VEVOR and will update my review if the problem is remedied.

    • Does not stop for animals
This door may have a sensor but if your animal falls below the sensor or doesn't trigger it just right, it will continue closing on the animal. Literally decapitated my pet. So very dangerous.
