I have an EV and a 240 Volt charger in the garage. There are times when I want to charge the car with a 110V line using the charger that came with the vehicle. I purchased this to house the long cord and charging attachment. The quality of the plastic appears to be good, but installation was not easy due to the way you must tighten the screws. You have to use a long screwdriver and tighten the screws through the inside of the hole that holds the charger attachment. This is not an easy task to complete. I think having a different design, possibly being a two piece assembly might be an excellent improvement. After a lengthy installation, I am please with the final results. ... show more

Looks great but it's not angled down to drain and it doesn't have anything to contact the seal on the plug so it's probably best to only use it indoors

    • Not big enough to hold a charging cable
By looking at the pictures in the product description I thought this holder would be large enough to hold my 18' charging cable. The picture shows a cable with 4 loops going around the holder. My cable is approximately 1/2" - 5/8" in diameter, and 4 loops of this cable won't fit on the holder without falling off. The design of the holder is good, and the nozzle holder does dock with the cable nozzle; I just wish the part of the holder that holds the cable were about twice as tall to hold large diameter cable. The cable holder comes with 3 each 1" screws and 3 plastic anchors, and it was easy to install the holder to my wall. I am concerned, however, that over time these 3 screws will work loose in my drywall wall. The charging cable is quite heavy and the screws in plastic anchors just don't seem like a secure mounting solution. Overall, the idea of this cable holder is really nice and simple, but in my opinion, it misses the mark as far as it's intended purpose. ... show more

The first time I saw this I thought it was a joke. I have always just coiled up the cable and set the charger handle on a toolbox in my garage. But after a few more times of charging my car I realized it would be nice to have a dedicated place to keep it so I wouldn't have to move it out of my way to use my toolbox. I installed in inside my garage, and it took about 5 minutes total to pick out location, pre-drill the holes, screw it in and it was ready to use. I ended up just putting 2 screws into a stud and didn't bother with the third screw. Its very secure and the handle fits perfectly. Definitely a much nicer way to store the EV charger when not in use. This is a good example of a product that has one job, and it does it well. ... show more
