I really, really love the Veise smart lock for front doors with fingerprint keyless entry. I also bought the keyless entry with a deadbolt for my back door. They make a great set. My not-yet able to drive teenage child has been losing keys faster than I can get them copied for years, and now we don't have to worry about that anymore. You can enter the house with a fingerprint, with the keypad, a fob, and with a key. You can also set up temporary codes for any one that needs entry like repair people or visiting family. The handle looks great both on the inside and outside of my home. The install couldn't have been easier. The box came with really good instructions and a QR code for video instructions. I have never installed a door knob or deadbolt before and I didn't expect it to be very difficult. There was a short learning curve but by the time I installed the first one I really didn't even have to look at the instructions to install the second one. It also came with all the parts one would need to make any necessary adjustments for non standard sizing. I also bought the Veise gateway so the locks will work with my Google Home app. My only complaint is that you are instructed to install the DDlock app which does not show up in the list of google compatible items. I had to install another app that is the same as DDlock and it took me a while to figure that out. Besides the minor app issue, I can say without reservation that this is the lock to keep you home safe and to do so easily. ... show more

I have had this lock for over a year. The lock seemingly quit working after we changed the batteries. I reached out to support and they helped us reset the door lock and it’s working good as new! Support is what makes this lock keep its 5 star rating they were so quick and helpful! I love this lock from setting different passcodes and seeing who’s entering when. The fingerprints are helpful but had some difficulty with it during the winter but RFID cards and passcodes all still worked. It’s a great deal for all the extras it comes with ... show more

Good quality and great look. Installation was easy. I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that my husband complains about “fat fingering” the key pad. I don’t have an issue with it, so it could possibly just be him. It really shouldn’t be a big problem though because you can use the app to lock and unlock and there are also key fobs. Having the different options are great. I prefer the app because we live in the country and it’s nice to be able to unlock the door before getting out of my car due to the coyotes and bobcats around us. Fingerprint Works Great

I purchased 2 of these, one for my front door and another for the back door to the garage which is also on my front porch. They were easy to install. My first try went way slower than the 2nd to make sure I got it right. The fingerprint works 1st try (almost) every time. My wife and I each entered 3 fingerprints, both thumbs and right index just in case we are carrying items, it gives us options. Things I don't like... 1. if you don't plan to use the app, you better be a rocket scientist to program them. I look at the instructions and just shook my head. 2. Since I'm using the app and have 2 locks, it's nice that they allow you to save the settings to the cloud but what exactly is it saving?? I'm thinking, wow, I only need to set up one lock and import all the settings to the other...NOPE! I had to do fingerprints & passcodes separately on each lock. 3. Speaking of establishing fingerprints, the instructions are unbelievably difficult if not using the app. Speaking of the app, my first try would not allow me to create the fingerprint until I closed and reopened the app. At this point, fingerprinting worked fine (until I moved over to the garage door lock where I needed to restart the app again). 4. The app (DDlock) allows you to create and manage passcodes using a computer or pad for various users ie. neighbor, family, cat sitter, etc. But here's the rub. The program will allow you to create a user and then it creates an 8 digit code that it randomly assigns and then gives you the option to edit that random code to something more memorable from 4 or more characters. But there's a catch...once it assigns a code, you actually have to use the 8 digit code once (on each lock if you have more than one) before it will allow you to edit it. REALLY! AND, you have to edit it on each lock...LOL This could be so much easier. 5. Do yourself a favor and break the bank to buy the V2 Gateway. It allows you to work the locks over the internet. I love these locks, I really do. But there's no way I could bring myself to give them 5 stars. I first gave them 4 but as I typed this, I scolded myself into give them 3 stars. Smart Lock malfunction frequently

Got this lock back in Nov 2023, within 2 weeks, it already gave me issues: 1. The motor is mostly always engaged so when I manually open from inside, I can feel the resistance and motor sound. 2. It takes multiple tries to lock (or unlock) the door, you can see the number screen on the lock flashing, but the lock key is unresponsive. 3. The bolt automatically extended without any reason. 4. The fingerprint unlock button is not working 3 out of 10 times. Emailed the manufacturer, they told me to use all new 4AA alkaline batteries, do not mix used and new batteries. After I replaced the batteries, the lock seems to work ok until May 2026. Out of no where, the number screen went dark and I couldn't punch any number to either lock or unlock the door. I tried the reset button, and replaced all 4 batteries, no luck. I went online and bought a new lock from the same company and this time I picked the cheaper version without the app control, the new lock malfunctioned again within 1.5 month. One night I was woken up by beeping sound and found the lock beeping nonstop with the red light flashing. There is a reason why this lock is so cheap compared to other companies like Schlage. I had the Schlage lock for 5 years and never had an issue. Veise's lock is half of the price but the electronics keeps getting malfunctioned. It is a pain to uninstall the broken lock and install a new lock so I certainly don't appreciate all the malfunction when I only have the lock for short period of time. ... show more

Broken Lock Replacement

My daughter was messing around with our keypad lock on the rear door of our house and somehow pulled the keys out of the pad. I tried to put them cack in and didn’t have any luck. When I saw the cost of locks, I had a slight heart attack. I found this lock on Amazon and ordered it. The install was fairly easy but it is important to note that I wasn’t installing this on a new door. It was more or less plug and play. I had to do some minor adjustments to get it into the old hole but it wasn’t anything major. Just some sanding. The lock works as advertised. It seems to be well made and hasn’t (knock on wood) had any issues. We mainly use the Bluetooth feature to lock the door. We have also used the keycards that come with it. Each of my kids has a keycard in their backpack plus the app on their phone. We also added the grandparents to the system for easy access as well. The only wish I have is that it came with a bridge to put the door lock online. I believe you can purchase a bridge if you would like. Overall, I like the lock and I feel that it is better than the one we had and cost a lot less which is always nice. ... show more
