I wanted a keypad door lock so I didn’t need to carry keys with me all the time. My biggest concern was that I wouldn’t be able to install it myself. The instructions that were in with the lock we so simple to follow that I had absolutely no problems. I read them first then removed my old deadbolt. Make sure you have 4 AAA batteries on hand as they aren’t included. Changing the code is also simple, just the pressing of a few buttons. I also set it to auto lock when the door is shut. That’s probably my favorite feature. How many times have I forgotten to lock the door??? Well, not anymore. Great product, great price! In fact, I liked it so much I bought another one made by the same company, Veise, for my back door. I’m a very happy customer.

The lock mechanism is solid and moves smoothly. The hand-turn switch on the inside is plastic and kind of cheap (but for the price, acceptable). My big complaint is that you can't lock it from the outside using the keypad. It has an 'auto-lock' setting that will automatically lock it after a set time. But if you want to leave the house and lock the door behind you, you need the key or you need to wait to ensure it locks. This is also a problem if you are going in and out. You need to leave the door open or have the auto-lock disabled if you don't want to enter your code every time. I haven't had it long enough to rate the battery life.

Very easy to install Easy to program The beeping sound was a lil annoying so I turned them off The one gripe I didn’t like was in order to lock the lock you have to hold down any button on the keypad for 3 seconds.. which would be a lot easier if there was just a lock button that you could push just once.. but very smooth lock and good quality I would buy again

Although we had to make some changes to the door frame to accommodate this lock, it was perfectly as advertised. My elderly father no longer needs to remember his keys to lock the door (we set up the auto lock feature). It has given us peace of mind.

A bit of history.. I always been a fan of keyless entry. From tenants occupying my apartments to using them myself since the first time they showed up. From Schlage to Honeywell I always bought handle keyless entry. The deadbolt was something I just used at night before going to bed... Comparison with traditionals.. I was dead wrong. Not only it provides better security (although limited unless you have a metal frame reinforced arc and door) but also it's a better experience to use. Keypad is at your eye level now... handles tend to wear and stop locking right after many uses, while this is a bar of metal going into a hole in the wall. Less moving pieces than a handle. Better security. Now for first time users: It's a no-brainer, keyless entry is better than keys. For starters, no need to take your keys out and twist... key in a 4 digit pin (up to 12 I think if you choose to) and the door unlocks.... also you can have several codes for all meners besides 1 time-codes for random people that need entry just once like deliveries or technicians to check something inside, the code won't work twice... also a vacation mode where no codes will work until you key in your master key to disable vacation mode. If the door is open by force an audible alarm will sound. Automatic lock on. I have it to auto lock after 30 secs. I found it a great time frame in case you are entering groceries or many people in at the time. The keypad is illuminated in blue and has a flashing red light or green light to let you know when it is locked or when it's unlocked. Also it will beep loud after 3 tries to lock in those cases the door wasn't properly closed and the deadbolt can't find the hole. Complaints: So far I would say it's a 8/10. My only complaint would be that I found the round hole at the door needed for this was 5 mm bigger than the one I had on my old regular bolt. Nothing that my electric driller with a big drill couldn't fix going around the inner circle a couple times but that is just me. Installation: it took me 10 mins. Then install the batteries... Programming was about 5 mins. Just input a new master password then entering the access codes you would like. Set the autolock time frame... never touched it again. Veridict: My 8 yr old son got it going in 5 secs and he loves it so much he wants one at his room o.O I also had to tell my 4 yr old to stop going outside and lock himself out by holding any key for 2 secs just because he loves it -.- My wife is not a tech user however she has no issues unlocking. She approves the lock.. And by judging the price I paid... it's a go! No more unlocked doors, no more broken keys, lost keys, broken locks...No more broken handle locks from use either. Hope this helps, take care of yourself, and your family.

The problem is that it automatically locks when you open it and is loud. If your door is not perfectly lined up there are issues. Lock comes out even when open

Works well. You have to dig out the frame for the lock design. Other than that it is easy to use and so far batteries have held up.

I am 70 years old and I installed this keyless entry in 20 minutes. I read over the entire instructions before I began so I could gather tools. I then went step by step and had no problem. It works beautifully. My only complaint would be that the inside panel is black and I would prefer it matched the brushed nickel of the keypad side.
