Good product recommendation

I love this lock. I got it for more connivence on my part and it wasn’t difficult to install after I found the videos. I had some troubles but it wasn’t on my part not the device itself. The app was very easy to use and add specific codes for certain people which I love it tells you when they use their assigned code. I didn’t see a limit to the amount of codes you can have so unsure of that. Sharing the codes to your friends family is super easy in app. The installation may take longer based on your door frame and door itself but relatively not bad time line. I personally have not activated the auto locking feature , quality appears so far very good for the price. The only downside I’ve ran into is it takes a few extra seconds to lock not sure if I’m just impatient or what the case is. ... show more

This is a fantastic product!

This is a great product. You will need to understand just a little about installing a deadbolt or door handle. The Deadbolt Assembly is resizable. A quick turn and pull will make it fit your door perfectly! Read the instructions and if you get stuck, call them. They have wonderful tech support! When setting up fingerprint access put your finger on the center of the sensor and move it in a rocking motion from side to side making sure to cover the entire center sor area as you rock back and forth. Don't forget to remove the protection sticker from the sensor. Clean it lightly in a circular motion with a dry microfiber cloth. Once you have the fingerprint entry procedure done it will open instantly with a touch of the stored fingers. I have used several of their products and this is just one more that WORKS! I replaced my last lock because it would lock randomly with the touch of a hair, act up and not lock by any means (temperamental), and it was loose. This lock is solid, rock solid on the door with its silicone or rubber backers and third screw in upper middle (note you will need to pilot a hole and utilize a separate screw or drill a large hole all the way thru to bolt it into place from front plate) Next Fuction: appears to function the way you’d expect. Tested keyfob, remote lock (with gateway), finder prints and passcodes. All worked seemingly seamlessly without too much human error. (Edit): The fingerprint function is extremely inconsistent even when recording two of the same fingerprints. It’s not intuitive to lock, and unless you’ve taught someone how to lock they may not know how (or remember how) to when they leave. App: the app has 2.7 stars (43 ratings) but I honestly think the app is amazing. You can switch the door side if need to thru the app, assign temporary codes, setup finger prints, permanent codes, temporary users, key fobs, etc. if you’d had first gen smart locks this is light years ahead. Additionally it’s google and Alexa able. I bought three of these because you can control all of them through one app. It looks like you can even program the fobs to all of them simultaneously. Edit: The app should allow more persons to be able to access home. It is easy to transfer data from one lock to a new lock being setup. Installation: now I’ve installed and setup at least six of these ‘smart locks’ on the past so I knew what I was getting into. I timed myself and my wife helped me. It took almost exactly an hour to install and setup the following on the app: four thumbprints, four index, three passcodes, two fobs, one additional admin, and I had to test everything for good measure. The people who say it took ten minutes didn’t actually time themselves, although I get where they are coming from. It’s not super difficult to setup if you’ve done this before, however the instructions are not very detailed and don’t include the rubber backing behind the inner plate, so that was frustrating but quick to fix due to the straight-forward install process. Just know that you’re not getting into a ten minute install, and that’s with the strike plate(s) already installed because I had upgraded their security a while back. So I hope this is the real deal review to help inform you from someone who’s tested several different brands and models. Give a [helpful+] if this helped. Overall a good lock, but not without its share of frustrations.

Great product, works mostly like it should but is not without its problems. The finger print component is the main reason why i bought it. And for the most part, this feature does work well; however, be aware that this feature does not work nearly as well as similar biometric identification works on, for example, an iPhone. Whenever I try to lock the lock, it doesn't let me use my fingerprint to do so. Instead, I have to press the blank screen to 'wake it up,' then hold down the # button for a few seconds. This isn't a major issue . . . but it's just weird and is by no means intuitive. But overall this lock dose what it needs to do; it’s just not as crisp, polished, and responsive as I would have liked. ... show more

Poorly Performing Product

I bought two Veise VE07 Fingerprint Smart Door Locks on Amazon about a year and a half ago, and both have been a huge disappointment. The fingerprint function simply does not work reliably. I have programmed and reprogrammed the locks countless times, and the result is always the same: the fingerprint reader fails when you need it most. The only dependable way to unlock these doors is by using the key fob or the physical key, which makes the fingerprint feature essentially useless. For a product marketed around convenience and security, that is unacceptable. In my opinion, this is a poorly performing product, and I would absolutely not buy it again. ... show more

Very impressive and easy to use.

We have been using this on our front door for about a year and I really like it. It was very easy to mount, set up on my phone, and program. We have had 1 occurrence of it not recognizing our finger print and got locked out, not fun. But I was able to go around through the back door and we weren't left in the cold. We have not had to change the batteries yet so I can say the battery life is pretty good so far. I would recommend and will probably get another one for the back door eventually, its nice not having to worry about if you forgot your keys. ... show more
