I purchased this for traveling, when I don’t have access to free weights. This will certainly fill in the gaps, and it can be used by anyone who may not have access to a gym or strength training equipment. I was pleasantly surprised by this bands kit and how easy it is to attach to any door jam. The resistance is indicated on each band (in pounds), and each band has a different color. It came with five bands (10-50 lbs), two handles that attach to the bands, ankle attachments (which I don’t use), and a door jam attachment (which I often use). For added resistance, you can add two bands to the handles at the same time. The biggest factor when using resistance bands is knowing how to perform specific exercises correctly. I have a lot of experience with weight training and using bands to help older adults with rehab and strength training at home. For those that don’t have experience and need some help with performing exercises correctly, I highly suggest purchasing a poster that shows resistance bands exercises (this kit comes with some exercise examples) AND watching some YouTube videos. I’ve only had this for a week or two, but I am happy with my purchase so far. I recommend this product for those looking for exercise bands to help improve overall strength and fitness, especially when traveling or for those who don’t have access to a gym or equipment.

Very high quality, durable, well thought out set that even has nice included bags for storage. Don't kid yourself that this would take the place of a weight lifting set (as it's advertised, in part), because elastic isn't much good for serious strength training. But this is superb for rehabbing knees (it has two included foot / leg cuffs), hips (a whole set of short leg bands), elbows, and shoulders, or for working on flexibility or resistance / pliometrics training. Also great for younger teens to work on strength, since they should not be lifting heavy weights but can get a lot of benefit from high rep resistance training (think baseball or swimming motions). The metal parts are actual steel, not mystery metal or aluminum -- very nice.

I'm relatively new to exercising, and have incorporated resistance bands into my daily routine. I started with a small beginner kit that went from 10 to 30 in 5 lb increments. Surprising myself, I quickly progressed up the ladder and was using two bands to get above the 30 limit in a couple of months. Soon, I was able to do over 50 lb with ease. I needed a higher resistance. For some reason, trying to find any bands higher than the typical starter sets are either hard to find or way expensive. This was the only set I could find that was both within the weight and price range (albeit, a bit too high) that I could afford. They have proven to be very durable and keep their resistance up after prolonged usage.

I received a lot for the price. I did get some help from a physical therapist to make sure that I was using them correctly. Did not want to re-injury my shoulder, but for the price I paid they said I did a great job. They said that they where going to let other clients that want to do in home therapy where to find them on Amazon.

As a senior citizen, I'm trying to take advantage of the online Silver Sneakers program. They have great classes, many of which call for using weights (which I already have) and exercise bands. So getting and using these bands is a definite plus!
