I've had this ice maker for about two weeks and have used it most days. I can say that it's been a very productive machine. I do recommend it for the small home bar where you're making one or two drinks every 30 minutes or so. It is NOT an ice machine for a party, but you can certainly use it prior to your party to fill bags to keep ice in your freezer for an event. Things I like: 1) The size of the device is very good. It does not take up a lot of room on the counter. 2) The noise. It's pretty quiet... and its notification alerts (ice full, needs water) are not obnoxious. 3) The convenience. I have ice trays in the freezer that are slow. Now I can fill a bag with ice regularly and and easily so I have good cocktail ice on hand. 4) Consistency. Once it gets down to temp, it's consistent and churns out ice "bullets" nicely. 5) Reliability. So far the machine has been reliable and never jammed. The only thing is that the ice bin occasionally alerts as full when it's not because a piece of ice interrupts the IR sensor. Trivial gripe. Things I don't like: 1) Not "pellet ice." This isn't "Sonic" ice. While it's "chewable" it's not super chewable. It's still WAY better than out of the regular icebox. 2) Small vs Large sizes are minimal in difference. I don't see a huge difference between the sizes. However, the way the "bullets" are created makes it difficult to do truly "small." There is a hole in the middle of each ice "bullet" which is different from pellet ice, and makes them larger than you might expect (as the ice forms around the chiller nodes. 3) Start making ice an hour before you need it. It says "ready in 8 minutes," but that's not entirely accurate. Yes, you'll have a few piddly pieces in 8 minutes, they are not fully formed. This is understandable though, as the machine is not a freezer... it does not stay cold. When you turn it on, it has to get cold, so the first few rounds are poorly formed. After about an hour of making ice, it makes quality ice bullets consistently. Things I would suggest for an improvement in the next version: 1) Since this isn't a freezer, it gets warm when it's off. Any residual moisture becomes trapped inside. We use a small wood stick to keep the lid slightly ajar so it vents. I would recommend you do the same, and a future version to include something to prop the lid open a bit to reduce moisture. 2) Put the drain on the size, not the bottom. It's sitting on my counter. If I want to drain it, I have to awkwardly balance it and drain it out the bottom. It would be nice if it came out the side with a small hose attachment so I could drain it into a cup without having to move the device around. 3) I appreciate having an ice scoop, but it's impossible to replace in the tray when there's ice in it... or after I've had a cocktail. It needs a better way to be secured. 4) Proof read the instructions... they're better than most from China, but could use an edit from an English speaker. All in all... I do recommend this ice maker. It's been a net benefit to my small home bar.

I do not normally give reviews, but I would like to rate this ice maker, I have it in blue, 5 stars because of several reasons. First it does what it says; it’s a countertop ice maker. It’s fairly quiet and quick to make either large or small bullet ice. About every hour the machine beeps to let you know the basket is full of ice and can be used or, as I did, placed in a gallon ziplock bag to keep in the freezer for when I need it. After 3 hours or so the machine beeps to let you know that the water reservoir is empty and can either be refilled or if you are finished with the machine you can empty the machine by gently moving the machine, still upright position, over the sink and remove the silicone plug located on the bottom to allow the water to drain. It’s a fairly heavy machine so it does feel cheaply made. The ice taste like ice even if it’s not filtered, ie from the kitchen faucet that’s not been through a Britain’s filter or other water filter system, it holds just under a quart of water or just over a liter whichever measuring system you use. It has easy to read panel that has touch controls to power on the machine and choose your ice size. So far I’ve not seen anything bad about the machine but I’m happy with my purchase

While this does produce ice quickly, it is noisy and nearly impossible to clean. The self cleaning function (hold the power button down while it is in stand-by mode), is questionable at best. There are parts that cannot be reached with a cloth or even a cotton swab or pipe cleaner, in particular the tray that swings down and holds the water while ice is being formed, that is impossible to reach as it remains in the up position when not in use and there does not appear to be a release lever to make it accessible. Given the residue that was present on the bottom, I'm concerned about what might be lurking in the enclosed areas. I'm willing to live with the incessant beeping (it beeps when ice is full, it beeps if some ice shifts and sets off the senor again, it beeps when it needs water, it beeps when mercury is in retrograde, it beeps at my dog...) but I can't live with consuming potentially funky ice and I sure don't want to buy a new one of these every three or six months.

If the directions are followed it’s pretty simple to use. Place the ice makers in a cool place away from heat. We add cold bottled water and it’s pretty fast. This is great since my husband loves ice on everything

It’s compact and makes ice fast. I was a little reluctant when I compared it to my old one because it was half the size but it pushes ice out every 5 mins or so so perfect for what I need it for.

The ice maker works great makes lots of ice the only downside is it don’t hold a lot of ice so I throw it into the freezer and all the ice sticks together. But others than that really recommended
