This little thing really heats a space well. Mine is whisper quiet, so not sure why another reviewer says theirs was "one the noisy side." (?) It's a quiet "shhhhh/whoosh" and you don't hear any type of rotating blades sound. Not at all worried about tipping over because of the stable legs/base. Unless you forcibly knock it over it's not going anyway. I even tested it by giving it a pretty good smack it on each side, front and back and it stayed upright. Note: The auto-shutoff is only if it reaches a certain temperature towards overheating not if it's tipped over. The controls are strange. The "con" being there is no way to increase the force of the fan only the temperature. To turn on just the fan you need to turn one control to fan, then give a slight twist to the other control until the fan starts. The wattage control is also a bit confusing but in a good way, (I guess, since I can't actually gauge the wattage used by each setting) in that if it actually does lower the wattage, you can't tell the difference in the amount of heat produced, so that's a good, money-saving thing. Finally, since this heater can really pump out the heat (in the first minute I registered over 150 degrees with my thermometer), it's not one that I would set by my feet, under a desk or anywhere close to anything else that may burn. It's truly a "space" heater at a decent price and it's a good one at that.

I’ve never had a portable space heater that’s the small but I definitely wanted one so I said what the heck. It blew my mind the fact that this little thing has a powerful punch with heat. It puts out more heat than my tall space heater, and I am not joking. I only use that because it keeps my room comfortable and I don’t get too hot. It’s so small that I literally can hold it in one hand so if I wanted to move it around I could. This is definitely worth every penny. Not sure how much I will save on my energy bill, but who cares at this point. It’s exactly as it is in the photo and you will not be disappointed if you buy this I love that you can change the strength of the heat and the strength of the wind on two different knobs. I definitely, definitely, definitely recommend!

This is a nice little heater. Pumps out a nice bit of warm air. I wouldn't mind if the thermostat were numerical instead of just "min/max" but you get what you pay for. It's not exactly quiet but I like the sound of a fan so that's ok. The fan has only one speed. The low/high on the fan switch refers to the heater elements which is not clear at first. I though it was going to adjust fan speed, but no. You can run it as a fan only, but the fan operation is still linked to the thermostat so if you want the fan to stay "on" you need to turn the thermostat to max. This isn't really a problem - just weird. I don't have a good sense of what this is doing to my electric bill yet but otherwise it works well enough so far.

I just needed a heater for a small room that has a ridiculously high ceiling. This small heater really did the trick. It's definitely a little on the noisy side, and that's one of the places where it lost a star, but for the price, it's a little powerhouse of a heater. The settings are min to max, and that's fine. I did accidentally knock it over and it didn't automatically shut off, so that's where it lost the other half of a star. Make sure you have it in a spot where it's stable and you won't trip over the cord. A dropped tissue could have started a fire.

I got this for my small office and it’s perfect. The central heater in my house doesn’t warm up my home office too well so this is much needed. It heats up quickly, doesn’t make too much noise, and work very well.
