This electric cooktop does the job for me, it heats up fast and accommodates a large or small pan or pot. It does take awhile to cool down, I set my tea kettle on it until the light goes out signaling it is cool. The instructions are not easy to follow, they could be revised to make it easier to understand. The temperature is given in number degree not low, medium, high, etc. Once I figured out the temperature I needed for cooking different things, it does work as expected, it was a learning process for me because as I stated, I expected simmer, low, med, high. The cord is of ample length to reach an outlet and the unit is not heavy so it is easy to move. I would give it 5 stars for doing the job expected, but only 4 stars for ease of operation.

I love my VBGK Electric Cooktop! It’s perfect for my small kitchen and super easy to use. It plugs into a regular outlet, so I can use it anywhere. I even took it on our RV trip! It heats up fast and has 9 different power levels, so I can cook anything from soups to stir-fries. The LED touch and knob controls make it simple to adjust the settings, and the timer is great for making sure I don’t overcook anything. The cooktop is also really durable and easy to clean. Plus, it works with all my pots and pans, which is awesome! This electric hot plate is very effective. It heats quickly and has tons of power. Once you have an understanding of what the power levels (W) mean or what temperature (degrees F) you need to cook your food, it becomes very easy to use this. It has a very long 4-5 foot power cord (US). There are rubber pads on the legs of this to help keep it stationary on your countertop. The controls are very straightforward, with touch buttons on top and a rotary knob on the front. When the unit is on, the fan runs and there is a red glow from the elements during heating. What I don't like about this electric hob is how long it stays hot after using it. I think it holds on to heat way too long and could be a safety risk. The fan that is inside of this is not very powerful. You'll really have to let this sit for 15-20 minutes undisturbed after using in order to cool down fully and for it to be safe to clean. I personally think induction is better and way safer, but of course you have to use magnetic/induction-ready pans with them. You just don't have to worry about all of the radiating heat with induction. It all stays in the pan. Plus, I could not find a control lock on this unit. The touch buttons are very sensitive, so you'll definitely need to unplug this before wiping the surface clean.

My SO and I are rebuilding a vintage camper (we've installed electricity in it), and I bought this to put in the kitchen area (instead of using a vintage stove, which takes up a lot of room). We tried out the cooktop and here are my results: Things I didn't like: 1. The instructions were of mid to low helpfulness. 2. Using the stove was not intuitive (for me, anyway). 3. There isn't a low to high heat level (which I'm accustomed to on my own stovetop); everything is in degrees. (This is probably a positive feature if you need a high degree of heat accuracy without a thermometer.) Things I liked: 1. Small and convenient. If we're not using it, the cooktop doesn't take up counter space. It is easily stored. 2. Once you figure out how it works, the cooktop cooks just like it's supposed to. This is probably the bet part of the cooktop: it works! I think once we adjust to the interface, we're going to enjoy this stovetop when we camp.
