I have naturally brittle nails, and salon dip every two weeks was killing my budget. I switched to doing them at home with this kit. After some practice and patience, I’m impressed. The finish isn’t as crisp as a pro, but it looks good and lasts just as long on me. Application matters. Go slow and don’t rush. I do my nails at night so they can set undisturbed until morning. Be careful around the cuticles; that’s the trickiest part. One tip that gives me better control and wastes less product: I pour about half the powder into the tray but actually dip straight into the jar. I don’t use the tray for dipping itself. Value-wise, the powders are small, but for this price it’s still a deal, and each jar lasts for many uses. My one real complaint is the smell; the activator/solutions are strong. I keep the lids loosely on between steps and work in a well-ventilated area. Bottom line: if you can follow directions and take your time, this is an affordable way to get long-wear dip manicures at home.

I recently tried out the AZUREBEAUTY Dip Powder Nail Kit Starter, and my experience with it has been somewhat mixed. While the kit offers convenience and a decent range of colors, there are a few aspects that left me feeling somewhat disappointed. First, I appreciate the convenience of having a complete starter kit that includes everything needed to try out dip powder nails. The kit comes with a range of colors, base coat, activator, top coat, and all the necessary tools. This comprehensive package eliminates the need to purchase individual components separately, making it a suitable option for beginners or those looking to experiment with dip powder nails at home. However, I found that the quality of the dip powders varied. While some colors provided excellent coverage and a smooth finish, others required multiple layers to achieve the desired opacity. The inconsistency in the pigmentation was disappointing, as it meant spending more time and effort to achieve the desired results. The application process itself was straightforward, thanks to the detailed instructions provided with the kit. The brushes and tools included were of decent quality and allowed for precise application. However, I did find that the powders tended to clump together, making it challenging to achieve a smooth and even coat. This inconsistency in texture made the application process more time-consuming and required additional buffing and shaping to achieve a desirable result. I must note that the durability of the dip powder nails was satisfactory. When applied correctly and with proper care, the nails stayed intact for a decent amount of time without chipping or peeling. Color 394 is not a gray green. Which is why I bought this kit. I had to do 4 to 5 layers where with another brand I'd of only needed to do 3. Also the base doesn't absorb well and bleeds through the dip. No matter how thin of a coat I put on I had to dip wait 30 seconds and you could see where it was still wet and do another dip. Overall I wouldn't purchase another kit from this brand after having used other kits for same/similar prices with better quality product. With results I expected to have with this kit. I did use my own UV gel clear coat with sparkles it didn't change the tone/color from the dip it's dark gray/blue gray without question.
