- Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LIFEPODS CAN ALSO BE USED WITHOUT A BATTERY and still function as a water resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery.

I’ve been using the product daily for the past year. There is a lot I like about it: The look, the ability to secure it with the cable, size… But… It has recently been failing to latch and lock shut. The locking mechanism does not always catch to secure the lid to the body. This had been happening without my knowing until recently. I now need to check and verify (sometimes “locking” it with mutiple attempts) until it securely locks. This is a failure. A locking gun box that does not reliably lock is worthless to me. I need to know that it has my firearm secure where others (to include children) cannot get into it. Again, I really want to love this box. But I’ll be looking elsewhere for a replacement. *I have another LifePod for another firearm, and that one is so far working well. UPDATE: I communicated with Vaultek to see if there is a corrective action to solve my problem. As a result they are sending me a replacement LifePod and prepaid return for my faulty unit so they can determine what went wrong with the one I have. Excellent customer service, in my opinion.

This Lifepod 2.0 is a very nice case. It provides protection for your firearm, or whatever you put in it. It will keep kids, or unwanted individuals from accessing your stuff. Very high quality! I love it!

Nice gun safe. It easily holds a SW 9 compact, and a SW 9 shield plus. It is a handsome product. It has a security cable that can be attached to your bed frame. Prevents theft and access by people you know. Of course, if someone has enough time, the safe can be defeated. It is a good travel case too. I have the model without WiFi, Bluetooth, Apps, and all that other stuff. I prefer to keep it simple.

Great with the add on handle. Cool gun safe that makes fast range days easier. Enough space for pistol 2-3 clips and a speed loader.

I loved mostly everything about it other than not being able to get the command blue WITH the biometric option. We are a first time buyer of Vaultek products but we are glad we decided to purchase! Very sturdy, seems very secure when cable is attached. Although we decided to switch to the biometric and settle for a different color I’m sure the reviews will be the same! Great Product!
