I did not buy this store a firearm, although I can see why you would want this item for that purpose. I bought it to store fragile glass downstems I use for my bong. I wanted something with a hard outer shell and soft foam inside to protect the glass pieces. They fit perfectly in this little case and the foam inside keeps them all safe and sound. I even once dropped it while it was full of glass downstems (it was latched shut at the time) and not a single downstem was damaged, so it definitely protects them quite well. Given the cost of this item, I am impressed by the quality overall and also with the quality of the latches used to close it tight - they feel very durable and function smoothly. This was a good buy, for sure.

I paid $7 for this case and for the price, it’s fantastic. But again “for the price”. It’s plastic and thin and the lock is fine. This is not something I think will last a very long time but, it’s great for probably a short time of not being used daily. For the seven dollar price tag, it’s fantastic and exactly what I expected. This case will be used far less in winter then summer since we live on the east coast and it gets too cold to airsoft often. So it will be opened and shut infrequently. However, once the warm weather begins and airsoft can be played far more often, I expect the lock will get worn and eventually just break off. It’s perfect for the price and it was needed immediately. An upgrade will most likely come in the near future. But it protects what is inside and things don’t shift that much. If this were like $20 plus, I would have returned.

Bought for flying with my handgun, this turned out to be a great choice. I was looking for a lightweight case that the padlocks would go through the lid closures so there was no way the lid could be unlocked with the padlocks in place and the case could be pried open. When shopping for a lock, you should know that the padlock holes measure about 5/16", I went with a 9/32" diameter shackle and because of the padlocks go through the closures you are going to need and 1-1/2 shackle to make sure they will close. I also installed an 1/8" steel cable with a 1" washer to thread through my suitcase frame. I gave it 4 stars because I wish the case was a little thicker, but that was my tradeoff for a light case that won't make my luggage overweight.

Nice, budget Friendly case that holds my budget friendly gun. Fits my SCCY CPX-2 and it's 2 magazines with ease. I seen a few negative reviews on here that seemed like nonsense. Some complained about the quality and the foam but I found no issue. For $13 at the time of writing this, it's a great case. I would not expect premium quality from something that costs as much as an average lunch, but for the price, it's a great case! Yes as others have said, the foam is not glued in, but for me that's a plus, I store my owners manual underneath the foam. Some said the sticker left residue, but mine came right off, some even complained about the molding marks on the case, but who cares? It's a case, and it does what a case should, regardless of a blemish. Case closed.

Superb!!! Didn’t know how to open it right away,which is good cause it shows it’s kid proof. I tried to rip it open with the clips on to hold it closed and it’s hard to budge so very strong box has two holes for locks.def exceeds and satisfies. Will buy more in the future!😁

The lowest quality foam possible! No tiny fibers flying around though like all the MTM versions. As you can see once the product sticker is removed it reveals this horrid crack & nipple along with an ugly mold line. These are still about equal to the MTM quality series cases. In the photos you can see just how bad and cheap the foam is that’s used. They do not have all the trillions of loose dangerous fibers all over that the MTM cases do though so that’s a plus. There are small pits and pieces taken out all over both sides on all three we purchased. I could post many more imperfections but think what pictures I have posted show just what you’re buying. Now at $7-$8 I bought three of these and just took the huge sticker off one today. It revealed what was described above and all three have them. Also the glue used on the stickers is very tacky and gooey and I couldn’t remove it without using Goo gone. The pictures show this residue. After writing my initial review and voicing my disappointment and shock that the case would go from $8 on my first purchase to $7.50 on the second then the price completely doubled to $13+ change. It then fairly went to $7 again the next day. Which says a lot about Amazon and wether they care or not. These types of things mean a lot to us customers and prove they’re listening. I do feel at $7 this is exactly what you get in a $7 case. It’s only large enough at 10.5” for a small compact pistol and one magazine. It has two articulating,slide locking parts along the handle with holes on both ends for a pad lock type system. It has two sections of plastic bindings instead of one complete binding the length of the bottom of the case. Our Initial review. I did really like these and bought two of them. They were decent quality for the price and the cheaper foam,plastic hinges and bindings were looked over because of the cost. Now just a few days after release are no longer worth it. Today I check them and they have literally doubled in price! A 100% mark up! This really bothers me and is exactly what happened to all the MTM series quality cases before these released. I just do not understand? The product gets a rating on its quality verse it’s price. So when the price goes up the quality goes down. The fact we could start buying our cases with keeping to one brand so they all match Accumulating a minimum of 10 MTM cases until they all doubled in price aswell. The small 805 case now costs more than the 4 pistol stack case was. The 4 pistol double stack case has gone up $5 too. Thus is almost a 150% mark up on the #805 10”. The smallest of the MTM style being twice the price of the medium case is just ridiculous and a stab in the back. These then get released and are at a fair cost at $7 each and you get what you pay for our pics show this. The fact I bought three means we’ve had to go with this style in a 10.5” because the MTM model has gone from $7.99 to $16-$18 In the same size and quality,which is just too outrageous and selfish. We need to be very clear with our reviews that when we review a product those reviews are solely based on price vs quality and if we voice that we like the quality this is because of the price. There’s no doubt that these cases and the old MTM style cases are the absolute bottom of the scale,the worst quality cases on the market that only make due because of their low cost. This doesn’t mean because you’ve sold a bunch of them that now they’re worth double the price and that you should do a 100% mark up. Our good reviews are 100% based on the low price and not because the quality is great. These cases are only great because they’re cheap. That’s it! We’d definitely be buying Case Club custom cut TSA quality cases at the prices that the nice size MTM cases have risen to. There’s just no comparison to any of these cases when it comes to quality metal binding,thick,hard pluck or cut foam cases. These are not the same species of case. This box is light which is good for air travel. It also has the proper security latches which may someday be enforced by the TSA. Cases with this shape have 2 available options. One has separate latches and lock holes. A really bad closure method for TSA rules. The other like the flambeau and Sig Sauer cases have an integrated closure/lock which secures the latches closed with concentric holes. With a cable lock through the 2 holes or longer paddle, the separate systems can be partially opened. The flambeau latches are secured with any lock. The Shield fits nicely in the unit with 1 or even 2 clips. The first unit was sent with no foam inserts. The replacement was good. The inserts are not glued in which is good. Sig Sauer cases inserts are glued in making the surface sticky for custom inserts. The flambeau inserts are just right for the Shield/clips and only require adding paper towels or thin foam to keep the clips and Shield separate if your bag takes a dump off the airport kind and gentle conveyor belt. For locks do not get TSA lock(s). TSA is not allowed to open the case without the owner being present. The owner must be the only person in possession of keys. All holes on any case must be locked. For this case 2 holes require 1 cable lock through both holes or 2 paddle locks. Flambeau - to make a better pistol travel box. Replace the 2 hole lock system with a one hole system. TSA only requires the case can not be pryed open and it is locked. A latch that spans the front and latches both ends with one lock may work. These aren't anti theft boxes. They can easily be stolen or cut open. They are TSA rule cases. In a airport, 2 or more locks are time consuming during check in.
