These are great task lamps to go over our homeschool desk. I searched ages for something with a switch in the actual fixture. This has a switch/dimmer on the fixture and on the cord as well. I love the swivel flexibility.

This is a great product for a reasonable price. I bought these to replace the floor lamp next to my desk to save space. I didn't want to hardwire the lights because I move my furniture around whenever I get bored and the lights may not fit where I want them to with the layout. I plan to mount my monitor between the two lights. I love the adjustable lights and the different hues. Also like the fact that I can turn them on and off separately. I took away one star because the instructions were difficult to understand. But the lights were easy to mount even without the instructions. It took a minute to figure out how to program the remote to work the lights separately, but I got it to work. Here's how I did it: Turn the left light on but make sure the right one is off. Within 5 seconds of turning on the light, hold the on/off button for the left light until the light goes on and off. Let go of the button for a second. Hit the left on/off button again. Repeat the same steps for the right light and you should be able to turn the left light on separately. To turn them both on or off at the same time, just push the ON or OFF button. ... show more

I bought this light to install a grow light over my plant. I had to rewire it to bypass the dimmer for it to work with the type of bulb but it looks great against my wall color and my plant is thriving.

I'm truly impressed with the quality of these lamps! Two of them plus the Edison light bulbs for less than $50! You really cannot beat that. I did not have high expectations for the price, but these are really great quality. They were packaged well and arrived quickly too. Originally, I was considering some similar lamps from West Elm that were $200 a piece. I also purchased some wire covers from Amazon to hide the cords since I didn't want to hardwire these. I still need to paint those. The lamps do come with the materials for hard wiring as well. They do great dimming and work even better than expected. I've been using them every night. I 100% recommend these and might buy additional sets in the future for bedrooms. ... show more

This is a great value, especially the remote option to change hue and brightness in a bedroom that did not have ceiling lights. I did not mind painting them metallic brown to soften the black color. The 2 lights came with one remote. I was not able to make the remote work the 2 lights separately, but I am OK if it works both at the same time. Regarding the installation: at times the remote did not seem to work on one of the lights, so I moved around closer to the level of the base and changed the position of the wires inside - no issues since. Since they are plugged-in lights, I also purchased the below to secure them now they are more appealing than a dangling cord.
