I couldn't imagine anyone with an average suburban lawn of just run-of-the-mill green grass having a problem. When you get a bit more rural and the grasses get thicker or you have cane grass then it definitely reminds you of it's price point. If you can't grab a section of the grass your trying to cut and effortlessly pull it up/break it with a simple two-fingered motion, you might have some problems if you expect to solely rely on this without a large pair of gardening shears. Some grasses, especially thick ones this will mostly just slap around if you don't use a good back and forth technique, possibly severing the cutting string or resulting in tangling. And even still. But it works. The motor or cutting power seems fairly strong, definitely for an electric model. Honestly I bought this because I know how these units are notorious for short run times between battery changes so the fact it came with 2 batteries and a dozen units of string was pretty attractive. It runs on a full charge for about 30 minutes at a time (like actually non-stop, which is fairly good) but the charging process takes well over an hour around 90 minutes so you'd probably want to coordinate other tasks/tools in unison with use of this device. I've noticed on occasion the metal poles that support the thing sometimes slip off (the handle detaches from the main shaft) but not often and it's a quick fix, less than a minute. Definitely light weight. String seems a bit cheap, perhaps separately purchasing a superior brand would benefit the user. Line breaks fairly often requiring manual feeding and sometimes seems stuck within the spool so I had to use a box cutter several times to pry a line out. Other than that for $80 it's pretty good. Again your average white picket fence lawn with nothing too crazy going on, shouldn't have a problem. It might impress you but it won't handle anything too thick that well. I'd say under 3mm and non-rigid.

It turned out to be a blessing. My wife would NEVER even try to use a gas weedeater even if I started it for her she would not even try. This electric string trimmer is so quiet and lightweight and user friendly she tried it and LOVES IT And I never have to worry about weedeating again after i mowed I never did it just right for her anyway bc I wasn’t careful around her flowers😂 long story short, get your ole lady one and she will be THRILLED to manicure her lawn while you drink beer and cheer her on👏👏👏

With all of the great reviews, I went ahead and purchased it. I’ve only used it a handful of times and it’s already broken and no longer working. When it came out of the box it seemed like something wasn’t right, but I had assembled it correctly. I even watched videos to make sure that I had done it the right way. It seemed flimsy. It would not stay connected for very long. I also had to find my own screws since they did not package them in the box I received. Today it just stopped working. The batteries are charged and even traded them out. Of course the return window is now closed. I was really hoping this would work for me since it’s so light weight. Now I’m just disappointed that it didn’t make it past 5 uses.

Battery operated tools make any job easier. No need to plug a cord or refill the gas. The power of 20v motor is plenty for this trimmer. It goes easily thru weeds without ever slowing down. Two batteries give me more that enough time to cleanup around my house. The handle rotates very conveniently to change the configuration from weeding to edging. Overall a very nicely made

This weed eater is a game changer. Never had a cordless one before. I can go anywhere in the yard and it lasts a long time on each of the two included batteries. Line feeds perfectly and makes it easy to handle the lawn work. It's light and I can carry it with me as I go about the yard. Battery charging takes a bit, but I've never had a problem of it running out and not having power as it comes with two batteries. Make sure I have them both charged up before starting my lawnwork. Wish I would have bought one of these a long time ago.
